Have been here a couple times so far. One was a bacon egg and cheese that had 2 sad pieces of bacon on it. Decided to go back for cold cut sandwiches. Keep getting underwhelmed. Seems like they skimp out on giving you an actual serving of anything. Couple of slices of ham, two slices of Swiss, lettuce tomato on a roll for $10.50. This is not a deli for the people. Keep getting disappointed.

We’ve been ordering sandwiches there for years. Delicious food and friendly service. It was our most favorite sandwich shop, one that we recommend to others. Unfortunately, lately we’ve had issues with them making price adjustments to our delivery orders, they said it was seamless’s problem, but it was the deli that made the change. Then I picked up an order myself, they circled the tip on the receipt demanding a tip. I was confused because I picked up the order. We didn’t order from them for a while, feeling uncomfortable with our experience. But decided to give them another try. They changed my credit card from an in person order. They told me the total and ran my card, then after I left I checked my credit card statement. They added a few extra dollars on my total. I understand that costs are going up. I understand if they felt they did a good job. But it is up to me if I want to tip, especially it was a pick up. It’s like if I buy a ready made sandwich and go to the check out, the person at the check out will not give themselves a tip. I just feel that it’s not truthful to add their own tip to the total after I leave. It’s a few bucks, but it’s not about the money, it’s the principle. So if you buy their sandwiches and pay with a card, I suggest you check the receipt.

If you ever wanted to pay $15 for a coldcut sandwich on a roll with a drink, this is the spot.
Tried to call in my order and the guy who answered and confirmed it was Brooklyn Heights Deli pretended to take my order then that same guy acted confused when I came to pick it up while smirking at me, then he acted confused about a ham and cheese until another guy came over and took my order.
There are easier and less creepy places to get overpriced basic deli food

I was blatantly ripped off by this place. Bought $66 worth of beer. The guy rang my card and asked if I wanted a receipt. I said yes. A receipt printed out of the card reader, saying $97.. I called the guy on it, and he tried to tell me it was a transaction number and wouldn't give me the receipt. Clearly wasn't a transaction number because no Transaction starts with a dollar sign. So, he offered another receipt from his register which was not itemized but had the amount at $66. After trying to dispute this difference again, he wouldn't cave and tried to make up excuses. I cut my losses and contacted my credit card company. The guy is either very scummy or very stupid.

A staple in the area for many years, Brooklyn Heights Deli definitely holds its own in the sandwich arena. As soon as I walked in I saw a lot of people around the counter. While I knew there might be a wait, I figured there was a reason everyone was there. Prices were not too bad. $36 bucks for three sandwiches. I would recommend!
