What a lovely spot! I had the Cold Italian sandwich and it was scrumptious, and if I lived in the neighborhood I would absolutely be there all the time to stock up on pickles and olives and other charcuterie staples. And the sidewalk tables are perfect for people (and dog!) watching

Brooklyn Hero is in a wonderful neighborhood across from the B69 bus stop at DeKalb Avenue and the B54 stop on Vanderbilt Avenue. Brooklyn Hero offers a very wide variety of great-tasting foods in a very lovely setting. The service is nothing short of spectacular with a really caring staff.
I enjoyed sitting in the sun eating at the outdoor tables almost every day from mid-August to November when the tables were removed. Fortunately, they were recently restored!...

This is an amazing sandwich to go shop. The service is top-notch and attentive and the food is consistently outstanding. I ate here 5 days in a row. Outstanding people and outstanding food!
