I've been here a few times, and today I came here for a fresh mozzarella and tomato sandwich. It ended up costing $12 when the price list said $11, but whatever maybe it's bidenflation. I was a little disappointed with the sandwich because the mozzarella was cold and possibly not fresh. Even the tomatoes were cut super thin. I want that fresh warm salty mozzarella on a sandwich with thick cut tomatoes. I'll give it another shot because I've had sandwiches from this spot previously, and they were good. Pay cash and save.

The sandwich was good , but I suggest the workers who are preparing the sandwiches wear two clean gloves. There is no way you can make sandwiches of this size wearing one glove. Let’s practice cleanliness !!!

Okay.. extremely expensive. I will say the sandwiches are delicious and pretty filling. Eggplant Parm, Shrimp Parm, and Italian Tuna Sandwich are crazy. Just wish they accepted cards and were a little cheaper. I can see it being worth it to some people though.

Most expensive sandwich in NYC. $25 hero that taste no better than any good corner deli for half the price. Never going

Brooklyn has a ton of amazing sandwich shops and this is definitely one of them. Known for its almost too large menu, there’s a handcrafted sandwich for whatever you’re craving.

The Heroes are a slam dunk!!!Tooooooo many choices. $$ & worth it. Here is a tip, don't eat the whole hero, eat the first half, then wrap up the second half, then eat it a few hours later, and you'll still be amazed and satisfied. ?

The number of sandwiches is out of this world! Great food, fresh ingredients and a very friendly staff that will let you weigh your options.

The sandwiches just get smaller and smaller. For $20 a sandwich it just doesn't work anymore. After tax my two sandwiches today were over $48.Used to come here and get a massive sandwich barely be able to finish it or not finish it. Now it's no challenge at all, they significantly decreased the amount of meat they use.It also takes a long time for one of these sandwiches to come together. I saw another comment asking why it takes 20-25 minutes to make a sandwich when there's no one else in the shop and multiple people behind the counter. This place used to be something special now it's just kind of a rip off.And I would only order cold cuts here none of the prepared foods ever seemed fresh. But then I've even had cold cuts from here that seemed past their prime.

So cheap on their toppings for a $20 sandwich. Every time I order they give a ridiculous amount of toppings. I paid $2 extra for sun-dried tomato's, a giant sandwich and got a thin layer of it that didn't even cover the slice of bread. You charge $20 for a sandwich and you can't afford a little extra sun dried tomatoes? Sad. Their Prosciutto di Parma is also so salty.

Well what is there to say when it comes to lionis from the original spot in Bensonhurst to this outpost ...sandwiches never disappoint portions flavors etc hit the spot or like this generations says "SLAPPIN" dont waste your time hitting those TIKTOKER SPOTS they dobt compare to a true sandwich legend from BROOKLYN....

The food is very good. But the service is very slow. Definitely can see that the boss is not around, so everyone is taking their time. The girl is on the phone in the back, and the guy is watching something on his phone. It shouldn't take 4 people, with no other orders, to take 25 minutes to make a sandwich.

Some of the best heroes in Sunset Park. Soo many options to choose from and the ingredients are always so fresh. Sandwiches are huge too so the cost definitely feels justified

Tasty Italian subs. It is not the largest place in the world, but it is cozy enough for a few customers. It is a mind-numbing number of options available, over 100 types of subs. Good sizes as well. I got a pretty expensive sub and I got a very specific/rare type of salami, they had it and it was tasty. I would eat subs from here again for sure.
