Brought the burger sliders. They were dry, hard and not warm.

I had an okay experience here. The food was a little fresh. The drinks were really good though.
My server wasn’t Gigi. But as soon as GiGi entered the restaurant, her positive energy was present she acknowledged myself and rest of my party. She greeted us with GREAT energy even though we were already seated. She is the sole reason why I am giving them a 4 star review.

Nice place... but I had breakfast. The pancakes are not fresh. The meal looked good, but it wasn't an indication of the taste. $30 overated.

If you are really hungry, skip this place...
Beautiful small restaurant...
The food was good...
It took an hour to get some chicken wings, waffles, and grits.... Ridiculous...
I font like barbecue sauce...
I told the waitress, taking the order with no notepad that I want chicken wings with parmesan garlic...
They brought me barbecue after 1 hour waiting...
The bathroom was clean...
The vibe was nice, though...
I will give them a second try in September when I am back in the city...
Parking a bit tricky, but be patient, and you'll get a spot..

I patronized BK Residency on July 4, 2024, and overall had good experience despite there being only one person working. She was the hostess, bartender, waiter and bus person. She performed well under pressure and I didn’t feel neglected. Big shout out to her!
I ordered the fish with grits for $22. The two fish may have been deep fried tilapia & was very crispy with hardly any meat, a bit burnt and dry. The grits were covered in a Cajun sauce and were a bit tasteless. Very mediocre. The ratio of fish to grits was unbelievable.
Overall, they seem like a nice establishment. The service was stellar, but the food was mid. I would return to try another meal as their prices seem decent.

Ordered fish and grits and the dish was seasoned but the fish tasted old.. I was disappointed by this. Also the way the food looks on Uber eats is nothing like what will come in person. take with information what you may.
I’d get the shrimp and grits next time. Pass on the fish.

I went with my favorite person. We both got the shrimp, fish and grits. I give it a 5 out of 5. It was absolutely scrumptious. Much love to the chefs who are from my Father's land Haiti.

Man I would love to see this place packed and popping! I went here on a rainy Sunday for brunch and my sister and I were literally the only people in the establishment for most of our time there. Although this made for a pretty "dry" brunch vibe, we still had a great time. The food was delicious and the drinks were great as well. Music selections were nice- I just wish more people were there to enjoy it. Overall I would return!

Love this hidden gem. Today was my second time there and this time I brought my mom and child. I will always recommend the fish, shrimp and grits because they taste like home.
The only drawback was that after explaining to the server that my son cannot have any food that comes into contact with seafood or pork and changing his order to something that wouldn’t harm him, I still received the original order and felt obligated to keep and pay for it.
I suggest that y’all stop frying fish in the same oil as anything else. It alienates a large group of people with allergies and they don’t always think to ask about cross contamination, which makes doing it a huge liability on your part.
I’ll be back. just without someone that has severe allergies ❤️
Great place highly recommend ! Good vibe for the neighborhood! Great place to come w/ friends / family ! Brunch , lunch etc I would definitely come back ! Wish they put some art on the grey and white side but other then that it’s cool

Listen when I am hungry on any good day I get up and come for my shrimp and grits. The menu fire but the drinks are insane, I always say ima have one and before I know it i have shots , and the music and vibe just takes over. I always tear my food up so I never get to take pics. I want this place to turn me every way but loose ?STOP

Absolutely loved my experience at Brooklyn Residency! The D'Usse Berry cocktail was smooth and delicious, and kudos to the talented bartender. The Rate R Shrimp with Grits was incredibly tasty, prompting me to also try the Honey Jerk Wings with Waffles – both were packed with flavor. I'll definitely be returning for more!
The food was horrible, I had the French toast with eggs and added on turkey bacon even the lemonade was bad. Who puts parsley on bacon, and the French toast was so flat then had the nerve to cut in in half to make it look like 4 pieces, what a waste of money, my friend had grits and fish, the fish was from the bag, horrible horrible, horrible, the waitress never can over and asked how's the food. Left there still hungry. So I went to were the food is alway on point, BBQ AND THE DRINKS....?
Service was kind of slow as we got there as soon as they opened no “Biggie” lol anyway food was phenomenal my lady and I had the fish shrimp and grits with the dussè berry cocktail everything was fresh hot and very flavorful some of the best shrimp and grits I’ve had.

Decided to try this business out based on multiple IG recommendations. I had reservations for this passed Sunday 2pm. Upon arrival we were seated & given a menu. Once our orders was placed, we received our drinks & waited for about an hour or so for the food to arrive. Their were parties who came & were seated after us who had received their food before us. Had the waitress not seen my facial expression, she wouldn't had even notified us about the alleged back up in the kitchen. Proper protocol should've been to check on her party, being us & informing us about the wait time. Had I not made a gesture to her, we surely would not have been told about the delay. I will not return for patronage based off the service.
