I visited The Brooklyn Residency and ordered the shrimp tacos—no chipotle sauce or cheese—and they were still absolutely excellent. The shrimp was cooked to perfection, juicy and flavorful with a perfect seasoning. The tortilla was toasted just right—a balance of crunchy edges and a soft, chewy bite. The pico de gallo was fresh, mixed well, and evenly distributed, adding the perfect pop of brightness to every bite. Highly recommend these tacos whether you customize them or get them as is. Delicious and worth every bite!
I also had the Brooklyn Blue cocktail crafted by Petrice, and it was outstanding. Petrice is an amazing bartender who really knows how to balance flavors. The drink is vibrant and refreshing, with all the fruity notes blending together beautifully for a smooth, flavorful sip every time.

I love everything about Brooklyn Residency; especially the shrimp, fish and grits. Now I am not a southerner and usually I do not like grits. But these grits. Perfection. With its Cajun seasoning and sauce and the creamy, cheesy grits?! Amazing. I'm already a repeat offender so I'll definitely return again!

If you looking for a vibe and good food this the place to come. We went on a Sunday the DJ and service was amazing. The food was excellent. We left Beso Brooklyn 😫 to come here and were not disappointed. My girlfriend and her friend were waiting outside for the rest of the party and was greeted by a hostess who asked if they were ok, needed anything or wanted to come inside….so sweet. The drinks were bomb and the food was well seasoned and tasty even the fries which they seasoned with Cajun seasoning. I ordered the shrimp, fish and grits it was creamy like grits should be but not runny. The fish was crispy and fried to perfection. The shrimp did what it needed in every bite. We also had the shrimp tacos (best I have had in a long time), and chicken nachos. I don’t eat meat but the party enjoyed it.
I would highly recommend this establishment❤️ and it’s black owned.

Service is trash. Went for brunch on a Sunday afternoon. Music is too loud. You can't hear the person sitting right next to you in conversation. They allow the patrons to smoke E-Cigs and Hookah inside the restaurant. If you're asthmatic or have breathing problems, (or just don't like smoke) it's not the place for you.

Good was good but customer service was HORRIBLE. There were 2 servers that shared the floor and bar and they did not communicate at all. One have away the table the other promised. They took our order, gave us the food and never came back to check to see if we wanted anything else or if we were ok. Just stopped by and gave us the bill. I am so disappointed!!
