Do you love excellent coffee? I mean, like really, really good coffee? Not orange-mocha-frappuccinos? Then go to Buddies. I travel a lot, and one of the best parts of travel is the morning coffee quest. I like cappuccinos with whole milk and no sweetener. And I despise foamy cappuccinos or lattes pretending to be cappuccinos. Buddies is without a doubt the single best cappuccino I drank in 2024. And then I drank it 3 more times just to be sure. And after the 4th one I feel even more certain that Buddies is the greatest. And, Taylor is the nicest, most patient person you will meet all day. My partner accidentally spilled his drink on the counter and Taylor was so kind about it and even made him another drink. If you like good coffee and nice people and small businesses, Buddies is for you!

The astomphere was beautiful and the workers were so extremely sweet. Very nice vibes here and had really high expectations due to 5 stars and many friends raving about it. But as a coffee addict, the beans and coffee here did not taste good at all. It had lacked flavour or uniqueness as a whole. I didn’t even finish my coffee and that says a lot… I usually chug it. I am so disappointed.. but yall are good peoples ! Really bad coffee sorry :(

The owner/barista is incredibly friendly, and I can tell this shop is truly a labor of love. The day I went, I had to wait ~8 minutes to order because Mr Mr is a one man show behind the counter and there was a gaggle of teenagers ordering iced lattes. I didn’t mind because there was plenty to look around at in the shop. Anyways, I got a macchiato and the coffee was quite good- very bright flavor.

This has to be the BEST coffee I’ve ever had! While visiting NYC, we stumbled upon this gem by chance, and I couldn’t be happier that we did. The owners were incredibly friendly and down-to-earth—we ended up having a wonderful conversation. I highly recommend giving this place a try—you won’t regret it!

If you live or happen to be strolling through the Greenpoint/Williamsburg area and you haven’t stopped by Buddies. You are definitely missing out on the best coffee in all of New York!! The Coquito Latte is hands down my favorite item on their menu & the most amazing coffee concoction I have ever tried in my entire life!! ?? I seriously couldn’t highly recommend them enough!! 12/10 experience as they have the friendliest and most welcoming vibe from everything to the setup & design of their rad shop all the way to the owners themselves. ? You can ALWAYS tell when a business is operated by the person or people who stands behind their brand/product! ? ?? This is a PERFECT example of that! I tell everyone I know to go here!!❤️ Hearing how far that they have come from where they started out only a short few years ago; is the most inspiring thing to see!! I hope Rachel and her boyfriend achieve everything they set out to do & MORE!! Because they both truely deserve it! ????
