I came from Long Island and was excited to try plantain sandwiches from this restaurant, given that I've been seeing them on Instagram for a while and I like their concept. Upon arrival, I was greeted by a Bunnan employee named Aviana. She was very kind and recommended that I try the Sweet-Plantain boat with jerk chicken. It was delicious! The flavor and spice in the jerk chicken were amazing, and I enjoyed it so much that I ordered another one for later. I highly recommend it, 10/10.

I’ve been seeing this restaurant on Instagram for a while and since I love their concept, I decided to try these famous plantain sandwiches. Well, I was pleasantly surprised. I bought the sampler of which you can choose from four types of meat. My favorite was the pork and the tassot. What was less to be desired was the service because the young lady and young men that served us, looked like they were not happy to be working. They did not greet my mom or I and I was reluctant to ask any questions. I suggest that the owner hire individuals that are not rough/rude but pleasant and helpful. All in all, it was a nice experience because mom and I walked around the building while waiting for the fresh food to be ready. We talked to the kiosk owners who were selling all types of Caribbean goods. If you want to eat some Haiti food, I recommend this place

I just came from your place and bought some griot and pork, but I wasn't satisfied of the service. There were two young girls there, all they did was talking on the phone. They talked on my food while making it. Talk to them about that because you will lose too many clients because of them.

Heard about'em through a friend and had to check'em out next time I came home to NY. Had the goat tassot sandwich and it was everything and more. A definite must have! Period.

Ah, Flatbush Avenue! Known for... well, being an avenue, I suppose. But nestled amongst its urban tapestry is a culinary gem that defies expectations: BunNan. This isn't just a restaurant; it's a flavor rollercoaster with seatbelts made of deliciousness.**First Impressions:**Walking into BunNan is like entering a parallel universe where the laws of ordinary cuisine don't apply. The decor? Imagine if a hipster and a pirate decided to co-decorate. Quirky, with an edge of swashbuckling charm.**The Menu - A Confetti of Surprises:**Now, let's talk food. The menu reads like a who’s who of the United Nations of Ingredients.**Onion Sandwiches - An Onion By Any Other Name:**The onion sandwich – it's like BunNan looked at an onion and thought, "You, my friend, are destined for greatness." This isn't just an onion in a bun. It's an onion reimagined, a tear-inducing (in a good way) culinary sonnet.**Red Snapper - Fishing for Compliments:**Moving on to the red snapper. I'm convinced the chef whispers motivational quotes to each fish before cooking because what arrived on my plate was a fish that believed in itself. It was cooked to perfection, with a side of "Where have you been all my life?"**Nacho Chips - Crispy Little Rebels:**Nacho chips here aren't just a snack; they're a crunch-filled manifesto against the tyranny of soggy chips. Each bite is a crisp rebellion, leading the charge with a battle cry of deliciousness.**Lemonade - The Citrusy Crown Jewel:**And the lemonade! If life gives BunNan lemons, they make a lemonade that could solve global conflicts. It's refreshment in a glass, with just the right balance of sweet and tart, like a liquid hug for your taste buds.**The Experience:**Dining at BunNan is an experience that transcends mere eating. It's where flavors and textures hold a dance party, and your mouth is the disco. The staff are the DJs of this flavor rave, guiding you through each course with expertise and a sprinkle of panache.**Final Thoughts:**In conclusion, BunNan on Flatbush Avenue is not just a restaurant; it's a destination. It’s the culinary equivalent of a bear hug from a long-lost friend. Whether it’s the end of a long work week or the start of a culinary quest, BunNan is where your taste buds can backpack through a world of flavors. So, if you find yourself wandering on Flatbush Avenue, feeling adventurous, or just craving some top-notch onion sandwiches and audacious red snapper, give BunNan a whirl. You might just leave feeling like a flavor explorer who's discovered a new delicious world!---Enjoy the whimsical journey of dining at BunNan, where every bite is a chapter of a delightful, flavor-filled story! ??

I had the plantain fries. The food was pretty good, nice and flavorful. My only complaint is that I ordered the fries with chicken and was given pork instead without them telling me whether or not the chicken was not an available option. I am not really a pork lover, as a matter of fact I rarely eat pork at all, and would never order for takeout. They lost a star for that. They lost the second star because they did not have change. Cashier made it seem like she did me a favor by giving me the change they had available instead of my exact change. Thank goodness it was only a about 30¢ difference. I believe they accept card, so that may be an easier option, but they still should be prepared. The atmosphere of the place could be much better. The stall is in a very small food court with limit tables, which seemed to be occupied by people who were not eating. It would probably be best if you took your food to go.I would try the food again though, hopefully they work out those small kinks. I hope they get more foot traffic because the place definitely has potential and a great social media presence.

BuNan is delicious. I absolutely love the pork plantain sandwich. The chicken is also delicious. It is a bit messy to eat, but if you save your greens for the end of the meal you can scoop all of the tasty meaty and cabbage bits with greens to have a delicious savory salad!

Food wasn't that great. Lady who served me was rude and it appeared that she didn't want to be there that day.

Amazing! I ordered the griyo sandwich and passion fruit lemonade. The food had amazing flavor! Huge portion! I ate it deconstructed because honestly I don't think I could eat it like a sandwich without making a mess. The drink had a great taste and was not too sweet!I wish this place was not located in a such a busy and jam-packed area. Traffic was insane around 1PM and there is no parking unless you go to the garage and pay $10.

I got the griot fries at Bunnan and it was so tasty! The atmosphere of the Flatbush Market food hall is delightful. So it really breaks the 5 star scale.Everyone was very friendly. Market also has events/workshop space. It's decorated so beautifully and I love that it so community orientated. I hope it stays this way. As for Bunnan, staff is very friendly. They kindly answered all my questions about their menu and I finally decided on the fries. The plate is rather big. I'm taking more than half home but it's a good price for the amount and flavor you get. The pork is delicious and the sweet plantain fries are perfectly sweet. Also their passion fruit lemonade is very refreshing. I loved the whole experience.I'm positive I'll be returning to try more!
