So glad that Bunton's continues it’s reign as a facilitator black joy and immaculate vibes in the heart of Bed Stuy! My out-of-town friends and I had an unbelievable Sunday night experience here. I even lost my keys, but a huge shoutout to Alex for ensuring I got them back. The hospitality was great and the ambiance was amazing – 10/10 experience!

Great crowd, great music, strong drinks, and solid prices. If you’re looking for a chill spot with a fun, easygoing, and mature crowd that still loves to dance and sing along—this place is perfect.
The space is on the smaller side, so it fills up quickly and there’s not much seating. There is a cute patio out back, but unfortunately you can’t hear the music out there, which is a bit of a letdown.
One big tip: take an Uber. Parking in the area is a total nightmare.

I came here late last night for some drinks, they played great r&b music and the cocktails were delicious. I dropped my purse leaving the bathroom and didn’t realize it. By the time I returned the gate was down and everything closed. I saw one of the security (OT) literally pulling away on his bike. He kindly waited out with me and called everyone to see if there’s a way to get me back in since my passport was in the bag and I was traveling today. I think it was the owner who came down at 5 am to open the door and grab my bag for me. They were both just so kind and caring and this is definitely a space I would come back to for when I return. I’m forever indebted to their kindness and will tell ALL my friends to come back!

NOT LGBT FRIENDLY !! Heard great things about this place from friends and coworkers, but the Bouncer does not make space feel welcomed to all people in the community. I showed up with a group of four other Women and the bouncer intentionally stopped me and said I would have to pay because I was “the last one to enter.” He claimed that one person had to pay for everybody, but did not apply that to their women who walked in and heteronormative couples. I asked him was it because I was male presenting and he denied and said no in a very mockery tone. I was brushed off and gaslit into feeling that his actions were not discriminatory. My friend decided to pay for me to enter the building because I would not get in unless I paid. I asked him multiple times to be upfront and honest about it but he would ignore the question and deny. He laughed at me as I entered the building and made it feel like I was not welcomed. Let alone supported by staff.

Night off from a show and this spot was reccomeded - the DJs and atmosphere at Bunton’s were great, security guards were personable and the other bartenders made excellent drinks, but Daisy was unbelivably rude to one of the guys in our group and her drinks were easily the worst we had on our American tour. The difference in quality was huge in comparison to the other bartenders. We didn’t tip because her service didn’t deserve it (we of course tipped the other bartenders handsomely) and we won’t be back, despite the good things we’ve heard about this place, she let the side down entirely.

One of my favorite bars in all of NYC hands down. Which should tell you a lot bc I am a Bronx girl thru and thru, but this spot is true NY. The community gathers here. We have a place to be ourselves. Protect this spot at all costs. It’s a true GEM.
