Good teas, good quality stuff. But depending on who’s working, the kind of place that gets annoyed at you for asking for a small instead of an 8oz. One cashier is super friendly and sweet- it’s a roll of the dice.
Coffee and atmosphere were good for working, but the man working there was extremely rude. I had asked if they charged extra for oat milk, and he made a condescending remark about how of course it’s extra because it’s “five times the price” in grocery stores. Then proceeded to make a fuss about my friend using the wifi.
The only change I would make to Burly is it being open later on the weekdays! This is my favorite coffee shop in a mile radius by every measure -- kind and skilled baristas, comfortable seating, non-deafening music volume, interesting specialty drinks, and lots of light! But it's only open until 4 on weekdays, just when I'm often getting into my afternoon groove. I am thankful that it's open until 6 on the weekends, and hope they have enough success to extend that...
