Why on Gods green earth do you all allow people to walk in a small place where people sit to enjoy coffee or breakfast bring in dogs, these dogs shake off after coming from outdoors laying around. It’s not very sanitary and it shouldn’t be allowed in such close proximity where patrons are sitting. It’s not a big place, you’re sitting down and dogs are literally brushing past your feet. Also the tall gentleman that works there is nowhere as understanding as the young lady that’s works there. He couldn’t understand why I asked for my coffee to be steamed or served hot because by the time I received my food order, my coffee was already cold. He stated they don’t do that? Really? What crappy customer service was that. Anyways this is the kind of service you get when you support these businesses who feel you need them more than they need you. Shout out to the amazing woman that works there, she’s very kind, great customer service and serves with a smile. She’s the only exception.
Went to Bushwick Bakery for the first time today after walking by it for years. We had such a pleasant time eating pastries and sandwiches while reading the newspaper wallpaper. The food was incredible and Harun, the man at the counter was super friendly and helped us decide what to get. We’re excited to come back!!
Never disappointed when I come here ☺️
I stopped here on the way to the taqueria to get tacos. It’s cute atmosphere. I didn’t try the pastries so no comment on that. I got a coffee and it may have been the worst of my life. Burnt beyond imagination. This is not a coffee place, it is a bakery. Don’t get coffee here.
Staff is super friendly and the pastry is so good!
I stopped here for some croissants. I never try croissants with special flavors.. they had raspberry, matcha(idk it was green I just assumed, could be pistachio), chocolate. I got my friend the chocolate and I got the raspberry. She absolutely loved the chocolate as I expected. But I was shocked by how good it was with the filling. Soft center flaky outside, great layering, yummy butter, raspberry jam was tart, sweet, and plenty in the middle to spread around the rest of it. If today was my last day this would definitely be on my breakfast menu. I will be more open to trying flavors in the future!
Best in Bushwick - and I am a coffee shop aficionado, I have visited them all in my 2 years living in this neighborhood.
Friendly service and great food. The raspberry croissant left me speechless, big surprise in the middle!
Bushwick Bakery is a hidden gem that delivers on flavor, quality, and charm. I tried the pistachio croissant and the Pain Au Chocolat, and both were absolutely phenomenal. The pistachio croissant had a perfectly baked foundation, filled with a rich pistachio cream, and its glossy finish with green stripes immediately caught my eye. The Pain Au Chocolat was equally impressive—two generous strips of decadent chocolate nestled inside a massive, buttery croissant-like pastry. The croissant itself was the star, with a flaky, flavorful texture that elevated the experience.
The bakery’s atmosphere is clean and inviting, with a homely exterior that offers a refreshing break from the city’s hard edges. The staff were friendly and welcoming, adding to the overall warmth of the visit.
The pricing is exceptionally fair, with these massive, high-quality pastries priced at just $6 each. For the size and craftsmanship, it’s a steal.
Bushwick Bakery’s standout items are undoubtedly its pastries—big, flavorful, and crafted with great attention to detail. If you’re in the area, don’t miss the chance to treat yourself here. Highly recommended!

I ordered a Uber eats pickup for a holiday pie. I was told they didn’t have any but to pick a a few smaller pies. Not really what I wanted to do since it was for a holiday party but the staff was a bit aggressive in having me pick that option. They looked great but not sure how they tasted, didn’t get a chance to try them.
I also ordered a smoked salmon sandwich which was tasty but very overpriced. For two small personal pies and the sandwich I paid around 40 dollars. The ambiance is pretty nice, limited indoor and outdoor seating options.

The croissant and cinnamon roll are pretty good. The quiche are good. The baguettes are… well, they’re not baguettes. Sorry. That’s not what a baguette feels or tastes like. Not sure what they’re doing wrong there.

this place is so good. we just came across it one day going somewhere else and just by the look we gave it a try and we were so happy about it that we went a couple times. the food is so so good. also the pastries are supreme. the ambience is amazing, the music fits just perfect, the light and everything makes you want to stay there for hours. also one of the best prices I’ve found in Brooklyn. could not recommend it hard enough.
