Very spacious cafe that doesn't get packed on a Wednesday morning. Coffee is very good - I got their decaf flat white. Nice place to come and do work, read, catch up with friends.
In a coffee world increasingly dominated by two extremes: 1. Over the top, too-cool-for-school barista culture… Or 2. soulless, venture-backed coffee chains sprouting up on every block like weeds… Cafe Grumpy is a balm. Providing the perfect antidote to everything ailing New York’s coffee scene: $12 lattes, minimalist cafes optimized for Instagram photo ops and…whatever Blank Street is.

Staff is incredibly kind. I left a drink on the counter, and one of these amazing people just about ran me down to give it to me - it was directly my boss’s as well - cannot thank the folks who work here enough for being as amazing as they are, they make it too easy for a production assistant like myself.
