Ordered Plov from them just yesterday. Worst Plov I have ever tasted in Brooklyn. Meat was old, stinky and hard to chew. Paid $9.79 and food portion was so little as if it was a kids meal or something. I am going to dispute this amount cause I had to trough away it into the garbage after my first bite. This is going to be my first and last order from this cafe.
Очень вкусно!
Good place to try tajik food. Good service, good food, enjoyed it.
The food was good, BUT the service was type slow.
My family didn’t like it here but man.. i had the time of my life here. im a HUGE foodie and this place is one of my favorite restaurants. my waiter was a young man who barely spoke english and my menu was not english but when the help of google search, i ordered a whole lot of food and left the place as happy as happy can be. the plov is A MUST. great portions and it’s the best rice i’ve ever had in my life. the kebabs are the best i’ve ever had in my life. the bagel bread and homemade butter was freshly made and warm. just absolutely delish! the potatoes and mushrooms were the best i ever had in my life. i just wanted to give the chef a hug. the bottled foreign drinks had no sugar but i’m just hearing that they have homemade fruit punch so i must go back when this pandemic is over but i just wish they had waiters that spoke english. besides that, i’m in love with this place and i will come back again!! the waiter was so patient with us so thank you!!
This is maybe the only place in NYC that serves kurutob, which is a MUST when dining here. Kurutob is a Tajik specialty consisting of shredded bread, soaked in a special tajik yogurt sauce, topped with caramelized onions, dill, and veggies. And it is DELICIOUS. Other items in the menu are similar to the staples in Uzbeck restaurants, plov/manty/samsa is my goto combination.
Always amazing. They care so much about every customer that it makes me feel like I'm visiting my extended family every time I'm there. Needless to say, food is delicious!
Really good food there beef kabob was amazing and like the atmosphere service could be little bit better
A tremendous restaurant and one of the best meals I have ever had in New York. Everything from beginning to end was delicious. In particular the fried dumplings, carrot salad and the Ludyla Dushanbe were wonderful. It's a relatively easy spot to get to from the subway and very much worth the trip.
There is nothing to say about food and service but 0.4% card payment fee and 10% gratuity automatically added on your bill is called a robbery. I have been in tons of place in all over in the world but no any place and I have never been fooled as this restaurant did. It's an illegal fee they robber you. In New york state you already pay 8.875% tax added on your bill plus you are not allowed to add service charge for less than 5 people. Wouldn't go back this place again.

Food is excellent service so-so but worth to go
One of my favorite place to have some delicious authentic Tajik style dinner. Warm vibe, good service & nice location ( specially in summer time).Hard to find parking around this place though.
While the food is delicious, anything good about the restaurant gets eclipsed by how horrible the service is. The waiters did not clear plates, did not stop by, and did not do anything to make us feel welcome. There is a 10% service charge and that seems like too much to pay for the "service" we received.
DELICOUS FOOD! This was my first time trying Tajiki Food & I Def Highly Recommend! The Lagman Soup, the Skirt Steak, Lamb Ribs, & Beef Raoulette are all MUST TRYS! Although it isn't posted on the menu, they confirmed that the meal is all Zabiha/Halal
I can’t even tell you how delicious their food is! If you are nearby you HAVE TO TRY IT!!! Always hot, fresh and homemade... moth is watering when thinking of their food! The best Lagman I’ve ever had. Staff is very professional, attentive and friendly. Highly recommend Cafe Dushanbe
