Ordered a cake for pick up Saturday at 10:30am. Unfortunately I ended up waiting an hour for it. When we went to cut the cake, the icing on the sides fell off and the cake itself crumbled. Text the mom to share this feedback and she didn’t respond. Extremely disappointing since we’ve always been happy with our previous orders.

I order through DoorDash and everytime I order I'm waiting for them to confirm it. When you don't confirm and the Dasher gets there the store doesn't know I ordered a cake. They don't seem to know that they have to confirm the order. They seem to think that DoorDash does it. Anyway my favorite is Butter Crunch Cake which they usually ran out of and that shouldn't be. Make sure you make enough of that, especially when it's a popular item.
When you call no one picks up, but they will call you back hours later.
I'm probably better off going to the store instead of going through DoorDash

I ordered the pineapple coconut cake. It was great! I enjoyed it and my dinner guest enjoyed it as well. Super satisfied! Plus they provide deliver- great touch! I took one star off because the box was not large enough and I had a minor smash but it was not terrible. I would absolutely purchase another cake from this place.

CakeBoiShop is easily the best bakery in the entire New York City area. The deserts are absolutely delicious. On two recent occasions I've ordered from them and I've been beyond satisfied. Last December I ordered an array of cupcakes for a holiday party. My guests raved. And most recently, I ordered the coconut pineapple cake for 20 and my friends went wild. No exaggeration--folks couldn't stop talking about how good the cake was. It was moist, flavorful and beautifully decorated---very elegant. The baker is phenomenal and the staff is beyond friendly. I am literally obsessed with Cake Boi cakes and order their cakes for all my special events like birthdays and office gatherings. The cakes are delicious, moist and not too sweet and the buttercream is to die for. There is an old fashioned quality to the baking and ingredients and the final results are deeply satisfying. Ashley has rushed a cake for me overnight when I needed it: I love the customer service and I love that this is a black owned establishment. Top favorites are the carrot cake, chocolate cake, pineapple coconut cake and plain vanilla.
