their carrot cake is sooo delicious. love this spot
My friends waited for Cake Boi to reopen their brick and mortar for several months and when they did we were so happy. We absolutely love their carrot cake and last time I went I tried their banana pudding and it was so good. The staff is so sweet as well. 💗 Love having this business in the neighborhood!
This is my absolute favorite place for a sweet treat! I was waiting for them to come back and was elated when they did- all of the slices and the banana pudding are so good but I cannot say enough good things about the carrot cake slice. I went in everyday for a week until they had it and was able to try most of the other slices in the time being! They have unique flavors and never disappoint- the cakes are always super moist no matter what flavor. I also love that each cake has the perfect amount of frosting- I always feel like I have to scrape off some when I’m eating other cakes but the ratio is perfect on every slice. Anytime I have an excuse to stop by I do and always take my friends when I’m walking by and appreciate the friendly service! Thank you Cake Boi!

I love supporting local spots, and have wanted to support CakeBoi for a while. I finally tried it, and had a disappointing experience, but an experience that I think could easily be improved for the future. First, actually entering the shop to order we were greeted by 3 lovely workers — the girl who told us the flavors was so sweet. However, half the cakes were sitting out unrefrigerated during a hot day, and there was clearly no A/C. We were offered a choice between refrigerated or non to buy, and obviously went for the cold option, but I think it’s dangerous to just have cake and icing sitting out in a hot shop. On to the actual cake — it was good, but for an $8 price point and for as slim as a slice I received, it wasn’t worth it.
Obstensibly, I think the cake is honestly just box mix, and clearly the baker’s hand comes in with the creative icing flavors, but I don’t think that should be the means for charging that much more. For reference, I can get a slice of a similar size of olive oil cake that I know is not box-mix for $6 at some cafes. Or I can get a slice double the size down the street also for $6-7. I hope this business considers re-evaluating some of these practices. I would love to support them again if these things change, and despite my review I think everyone should go in and form their own judgements.

Drove all the way from the Bronx to support this local business and the cake was really dry and almost a grainy texture…. For me, I was looking forward to a soft and moist cake, so this wasn’t it. The frosting was good, but all in all it was not worth the calories. It’s a family owned spot and the staff were all so nice too ðŸ˜

I was really looking forward to this red velvet cake, but it completely missed the mark. The cake itself lacked that rich, slightly chocolatey flavor that red velvet is known for. But the biggest letdown was the frosting — it wasn’t cream cheese! That’s a key part of what makes red velvet special. Instead, it tasted like buttercream or something store-bought, which threw off the whole balance. If you're a red velvet fan expecting the classic combo, this isn’t it.

I was in a bit of a pinch and needed a cake last-minute — Cakeboi truly came through! Not only were they super accommodating, but the cake turned out amazing. Beautifully made, delicious, and way beyond what I expected on such short notice. Can’t thank them enough. Highly recommend for both quality and service!

Ordered a cake for pick up Saturday at 10:30am. Unfortunately I ended up waiting an hour for it. When we went to cut the cake, the icing on the sides fell off and the cake itself crumbled. Text the mom to share this feedback and she didn’t respond. Extremely disappointing since we’ve always been happy with our previous orders.
We got a birthday for my husband this weekend at Cakeboi. It was ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS! Pineapple Coconut, lots of flavor, not too sweet, beautifully decorated!!!

The cake is outstanding. We ordered a coconut pineapple birthday cake and it was delicious. Just the right amount of sweetness, decadent, and irresistible.
I had the blue velvet cake and it was so delicious and moist!!!
I order through DoorDash and everytime I order I'm waiting for them to confirm it.
When you don't confirm and the Dasher gets there the store doesn't know I ordered a cake.
They don't seem to know that they have to confirm the order. They seem to think that DoorDash does it. Anyway my favorite is Butter Crunch Cake which they usually ran out of and that shouldn't be.
Make sure you make enough of that, especially when it's a popular item.
When you call no one picks up, but they will call you back hours later.
I'm probably better off going to the store instead of going through DoorDash
Delicious cake , my first time ordering from them, wanted to try something different from my go to store Alan’s bakery, and I’m so happy I did , everyone loved it, this is my new go to , and the customer service was amazing , can’t wait for my next celebration to order , lol I might have to create one
I ordered the pineapple coconut cake. It was great! I enjoyed it and my dinner guest enjoyed it as well. Super satisfied!
Plus they provide deliver- great touch!
I took one star off because the box was not large enough and I had a minor smash but it was not terrible. I would absolutely purchase another cake from this place.
