SCAM!!! DO NOTTTT go with this business for your cake! I chose Cakes by Madelin through IG, but wish I had read these reviews first as it seems that many others have had the same situation happen to them.
After having to cancel my cake due to unfortunate family passing, owner said that I could use the credit in the future. I msged her to redeem now and after confirming the new date, she asked me which flavors and since then I've been left on read. Tried reaching her through phone also and nothing. If there was a reason she wasn't able to do it, it should've been communicated.
I hate leaving bad reviews but don't want anyone else's special occasions to have to be ruined by her lack of professionalism/communication. Avoid losing your money, avoid being ghosted, avoid being scammed.

The experience was unprofessional. This was my first time using this business for a birthday cake, as an event planner. When I went to pick up the cake at the agreed time, the door was locked and no response to my calls after several attempts! Finally, I received a TEXT only. The details on the cake kept falling off. I went back the first time and it was fixed. But it happened again right before the event! The happy birthday sign was cheap film and it wasn't the color I wanted. The name on the cake was lazily done. The cake flavor wasn't what I ordered. Totally disappointed! Post the event I followed up to inform her that my order was wrong and got no response. I would not use this place again. And caution others in doing business here!

My review is based on service since I never got my cake. Spend your money else where!! I am big on respecting people’s time and money, something this business woman claims she does. From Sept 6th I requested to use my credit for Oct 19th. Madelin didn’t care to order what I needed to get the cake I wanted. Even with ample time, she kept forcing gold on me last minute, when I wanted silver and black. She claimed I changed the date several times! Where?? when?? Look at the messages. She also changed the pickup time from 5pm to 6pm day of. I was extremely understanding and accommodating. Madelin never got back to me till 6:25pm when the version of the cake she wanted to give me was ready. Very inconsiderate of my time and plans for this day. Why not just be professional and give a refund if you couldn’t deliver on the cake that was requested!! She clearly doesn’t understand English or Spanish, she made false statements and won’t give me my money back. I gave her $160 just because I guess, so you’re in the business of stealing people money too!! She claims my message was confusing? So as a professional, why wait till the day of to try and understand what I wanted? and even if you didn’t care too, why not deliver on the rest of what I asked for at minimum?. She’s very rude and dismissive!! SAVE YOUR MONEY AND GO SOMEWHERE ELSE where you’ll get better service and quality.

Owner was not helpful when it came to design input and she delivered the cake at the last minute, 30 mins before event and wouldn’t allow me the opportunity to go pick it up myself. I wouldn’t come here if you are actually looking to fed people cake but the cakes are good looking.
