The ice cream had ice chips in it as if it had melted and been refrozen. The Howard Beach carvel never has ice chips in their ice cream. We were very disappointed in this location.

I came in here Sat. for a medium cup. I was offered soft serve when I literally stated I wanted scoop ice cream and had to say the flavor three times. I was the only guest at this point. I then get asked if I want toppings I said oh sure. While I’m trying to decide the young lady makes a comment and the other girl laughing. As I’m trying to decide she’s rolling her eyes with my ice cream in hand. I finally say almonds and get told there was no almonds. I tell the girl you literally have it on signage. I couldn’t see the toppings avaliable with all the equipment on top of it. That’s not supposed to be. Put scoopers and etc.. away not on top of the topping areas. Next time I come here bc I am a local the girl that served me definitely will not be doing so again. Never had that type of experience in here on prior visits. I’ve brought cakes and etc..

I recently visited the Carvel on Bath Avenue looking forward to enjoying a classic cone, but I was very disappointed with the experience. After paying, I received my cone and immediately noticed that the soft serve was a strange beige color instead of the usual milk white I’ve come to expect from Carvel. I asked about it, but there wasn’t much explanation.
When I tasted it, the flavor was off — it didn’t taste anything like the Carvel I remember from the past. The quality and flavor just weren’t there. This was not the creamy, delicious Carvel I used to love. I hope they look into what’s going on with their mix or machine, because this was definitely not up to Carvel’s usual standards.

Nice carvel store but not trust worthy cashier Nicole who takes my debit card and chargers me for the ice cream cake and milk shake and decided to add on a gratuity tip for herself $4.14 WITHOUT ASKING ME FIRST. Which to me is stealing. Tips are voluntary...SO BEWARE OF USING YOUR CHARGE CARD IN THIS CARVEL AND BE SURE TO LOOK AT YOUR RECEIPT!!!

Today was National soft serve day. Soft serve was supposed to 90 cents. Anyways we went at 8:45 to get the icecream and asked for the small soft serve special and they said they only do the special until 8:30pm lol. No where on carvels page or website it says the offer will end at 8:30. Disappointed as I use to be a regular costumer of 25 years here. ?

I ordered their Non-Dairy cake 10 days ahead of time, it was confirmed and paid for in advance. On the day of the party, I was told they don't have any Non-Dairy cakes and they had prepared a regular Dairy Ice Cream cake with the Happy Birthday message on it. I had no choice but to take it as we needed to get to the party.

The Carvel ice cream store is good. Very hard to park and place an order. The staff is still behind a plexiglass barrier making it difficult to hear the employees. No seating available to sit down and enjoy an ice cream cone in the store. Relatively narrow location in space.
