So happy to see Cug open his own place :) Very neighborhood-friendly, cozy spot. All the staff were super friendly snd nice, recommended some sightseeing here in Brooklyn (my wife and I were visiting). Cug popped by, super chill dude, had a small convo. The food was great, I got the Time Immemorial and my wife got the Ya Sista, both were exceptional. Also, there is a nice selection of imported Italian sauces, pastas, oils, etc. Highly recommend!

Special of the week. Sandwhich cafe of the century. If you havnt been here, come do yourself a favor. I travel around the world regularly. I’ve got a top ten, it’s not Michelin , Rose or Insta social influencer glaze. Twenty years in best of the best, private chef back ground and now it’s not even my bag- I don’t even have skin in the game anymore so when I find a diamond in the rough I’ll take time to let you know.
Case cugine- I researched it after my first bite. The owners some nice local guy who makes pretty funny Italian New Yorker content around food- I take him to be the brain child of the recipient and technique. I had a conversation with him- real down to earth people. Not self important.
The sandwhich. I had a succulent zucchini and chicken cutlet with some chipotle aioli. The bread was spectacular, chicken moist, breading done thoughtfully. Flavours weren’t overly complicated. Simple good and well priced and strong portion.
Best sandwhich I’ve had in new York yet. I’m up for takers. So if you find yourself in Brooklyn, or nearby. It’s worth it.

Cashier needs training on glove use and hygiene. I saw them touch their nose, itch their hair, touch their phone, open the door, give out a sample, work on a desert…all with the same gloves! This left a bad taste in my mouth before even trying my food. Sandwich took a while but was pretty good, the bread was perfect, lots of flavor and quality except the chicken didn’t seem super fresh, was even gray color in some spots.

My boyfriend and I went there last Saturday December 13 and ordered two sandwiches, tri color cookies, and a latter. We were both super excited to go and support since we both follow it on Instagram. The food tasted amazing but unfortunately we got severe food poisoning from the food on the same day. We really wish that never happened to us since we’re such great fans. Unfortunately we won’t be going back to the establishment again after going through that.
