We stumbled upon Casa Maya while trying to fix a late night taco craving. The interior is quaint, yet cozy and inviting, and the staff is very friendly and welcoming. We were seated immediately and given the menu. The menu isn't expansive, but covers all that one would need in a place like this. Casa Maya has some of the best Mexican food in the area, with my personal favorites being the carnitas burrito, birria tacos, and nachos. If you fancy a drink and music, come here after 10pm on the weekend to hear some of the best DJs in New York (bring earplugs, it gets LOUD). Owner and staff are super friendly, lots of instagrammable neon signs, and they have three TVs behind the bar playing different edgy shows in case your date is boring. Love this spot.
We had a delicious dinner (chicken quesadilla and chicken burrito) and house margaritas at Casa Maya. Happy hour deals are pretty good and go relatively late. The restaurant vibe is nice too. We’d definitely go back if in the area
