First time at Cavatappi, had a nice lunch with family. Very nice restaurant, cozy, beautiful chandeliers, ordered the Pork Chop special, it was exceptional, so tender like butter, it melted in your mouth, the sauce was so good, tender cuts of apple slices and onions on top. Staff is great, Steve was our waiter, wonderful he always came to check how everything was. It’s worth the 20-30 minute drive from where I live in Brooklyn to come here and have an early dinner. Definitely will be back.

Consistently Outstanding – A Local Favorite!
I've been coming to Cavatappi regularly, and it never disappoints. The Kansas City pork chop is an absolute standout — juicy, perfectly cooked, and packed with flavor. It's beautifully paired with an apple-parsnip purée that adds just the right amount of sweetness and elegance to the dish.
Another must-order is the fried calamari — hands down the best I've ever had. It's crispy, light, and never greasy or soggy, which is a rare find.
If you're looking for a great drink, the sangria is fresh, well-balanced, and made daily — a perfect complement to the meal.
From the food to the consistency, this place has become a go-to. Highly recommended for anyone who appreciates quality and care in their dining experience.

It's a small restaurant with delicious food - nice portions and attentive staff. The only drawback being that's it's small restaurant is that they host a couple of large parties on the weekends filling the space leaving only a few tables and that makes the sound level rather high and you can't have conversation. When I booked I wished they would have warned me that have 3 parties and only 2 tables not affiliated with the parties available. Would I mind? I probably would have passed that night. They did move us away from the fray when another table slightly away opened up during appetizers to their credit!

If you are looking for some good authentic Italian food, you have found your place. We had the meatball appetizer and they were so big. I am not really a meatball person but these were so dang good and juicy I might have to change my mind. We also had the calamari and it was delicious, lightly breaded and cooked to perfection not rubbery at all and the spicy is delicious. Entrees that was ordered was the linguine Di Mare. It looked like a work of art coming out. The chicken cutlet was also ordered and it was delicious. The portions are humongous. Definitely plates can be shared. Penne pasta was also good running out of words to describe the experience was excellent and you cannot leave without having dessert. We had the cheesecake, plain and orange flavor cheesecake the best cheesecake that I have ever tasted,it has ruined me. I probably cannot eat another cheesecake from any other place only from cavatappi.  No other cheesecake will compare or will be as satisfying

Apologies to Cavatappi, we haven't been here in a while. The menu is creative, tempting and fresh. It's more like the Italian food you ate in Italy than the Italian food you ate last week someplace in Bay Ridge. As I recall meatballs, Bolognese style riceballs, seafood pasta and pork osso bucco are some of the dishes we ordered and all of them were delicious. Cavatappi is such a treasure to the community, come and experience true tastes of Italy close to home.

We came to eat dinner looking for Italian cuisine. After our favorite Italian eatery closed down, we were looking for a new Italian restaurant to frequent. This restaurant had a high rating on yelp so we decided to give it a try. The atmosphere is fine, but the place itself is not that big. When fully booked, it feels cramped. One positive thing that I can say is that the service was really nice and the staff was friendly. Now on to the negative. We weren't really impressed with the food. We ordered a bunch of appetizers and they were really mediocre. I know it's not fair to compare how a chef prepares the food, but when you're comparing similar dishes and you kind of know what to expect and that dish doesn't live up to that expectation, it leaves a bad taste in your mouth. My husband's branzino was too oily and tasted bland. The same can be said for my pork chop. It was too salty and greasy. I took one bite and I couldn't eat anymore. That was the overall theme, the food was either over-fried or too greasy. On top of that, I asked to take my meal, the pork chop to go, only to discover the next day that they didn't even pack it. There is no way for me to prove it. So there goes $32 down the drain. I'm really surprised and disappointed at the same time. Usually Yelp reviews are spot on. Not only was the food lackluster, but I paid for the meal which I barely touched and wasn't packed to go. We'll keep looking for another Italian restaurant.
