Calamari was ridiculous, meatballs even more so… got a variety of dishes and shared amongst friends. Not a single one of us walked out with a bad thing to say about anything we ate.
Pork chop was top tier. Highly recommend.

We came to eat dinner looking for Italian cuisine. After our favorite Italian eatery closed down, we were looking for a new Italian restaurant to frequent. This restaurant had a high rating on yelp so we decided to give it a try. The atmosphere is fine, but the place itself is not that big. When fully booked, it feels cramped.
One positive thing that I can say is that the service was really nice and the staff was friendly. Now on to the negative.
We weren't really impressed with the food. We ordered a bunch of appetizers and they were really mediocre. I know it's not fair to compare how a chef prepares the food, but when you're comparing similar dishes and you kind of know what to expect and that dish doesn't live up to that expectation, it leaves a bad taste in your mouth. My husband's branzino was too oily and tasted bland. The same can be said for my pork chop. It was too salty and greasy. I took one bite and I couldn't eat anymore. That was the overall theme, the food was either over-fried or too greasy.
On top of that, I asked to take my meal, the pork chop to go, only to discover the next day that they didn't even pack it. There is no way for me to prove it. So there goes $32 down the drain.
I'm really surprised and disappointed at the same time. Usually Yelp reviews are spot on. Not only was the food lackluster, but I paid for the meal which I barely touched and wasn't packed to go.
We'll keep looking for another Italian restaurant.

The calamari was crispy and tender, served in generous portions that made for a satisfying appetizer. The cheesecake was rich and creamy, both decadent and filling. Great value for the size, with both dishes offering a deliciously indulgent experience!

Stumbled into Cavatappi as we walked from 79th St subway to Dyker Hts Christmas lights. Just what we needed on a cold night. All dishes were superb but the zucchini side dish was a great highlight, as was the olive oil with the bread. Excellent service. These guys deserve every success.

This is quickly becoming one of the best Italian restaurants in Brooklyn. The atmosphere is comfortable and cozy, and each dish is better than the next. I’m so glad they will now be opening at noon for lunch every day - it’s great to have them in the neighborhood!!

I arrived here on a cold, rainy night. I ended up meeting with a few new friends for dinner before going to see the lights. We all ordered small dishes, and I got the mozzarella bread with marinara sauce. The food was solid. The service was a bit iffy and it wasn't too easy to grab someone's attention.

I’m not in the city too much but I was handling some business and decided to find something to eat. Luckily my partner found this spot and it was great! I’m not usually a meatball fan but these were REAL tender and flavorful. Our entrees came out on time and they were great as well. The pork chop was definitely the star with its sweet black sauce and hot peppers. Everything tastes fresh and well-portioned. I would definitely come back with family.

Exquisite restaurant with charming atmosphere, great food, and excellent service. Perfectly located for dinner after viewing the Dyker Heights Christmas lights. My wife and I have been twice and we were impressed by the hospitality and professionalism each time. The food is abundant and delicious. This restaurant is quite a gem.
