Spent $75+ on the pre fix. 4 courses were bread. Portions were microscopic. I’ve never spent this much money just to leave hungry. Good riddance

Lovely place. We got the 5-course prix fixe, which let us sample lots of different dishes. Everything was interesting and delicious. The staff was so lovely, personable and warm. I won't lie, in these days of hard budgets, this will be a splurge for many (we went with the help of a gift card!). With tip, it came to about $250...that's a lot for two people. Was it worth it? Yes!! But is that kind of expenditure hard for many right now? Also yes. Still, I am so glad we went, and I am thankful to the staff for the great food and service. This place is terrific for a special occasion.

Was decent overall for what it was which is slightly upper scale new american. Flavors were pretty typical of these types of restaurants, nothing that blew me away or that I'd seek out to order again. Only 1-2 things were good, the recent were meh.

Cecily was a beautiful and light repose after hectic travel and the heavier food of the Deep South from New Orleans to Nashville. Delightful flavours with a light hand. An eclectic wine list which excludes Italy.

I've been to Cecily at least six times since it opened and consider it simply the best restaurant in NY right now. Last night we had ten of the twelve dishes on offer and they were all brilliant and different. The staff is lovely and the pricing is more than reasonable given the excellent value.

Consider this, The Four Horsemen, with its Michelin Star is OK but you can go there and not be swept away by any particular dish and somehow the overall impression is that you're supposed to feel lucky to be there. Cecily blew us away with dish after dish. There was no riding on laurels. Each dish was carefully and lovingly composed. There's an artist in the kitchen and the management has clearly worked hard to field a staff that likes working together and cares about guests. HOORAY!

It was such a wonderful dining experience. The cocktails were tasty and our highlights from the menu were the snow crab crostini, tuna tartare, butter beans and the chocolate cake!

So sad they are closing! Too bad commercial landlords seem to have more influence over what a neighborhood looks like than the loyal patrons of local businesses. Someone should look at the tax incentives for an EMPTY space that has been renovated vs KEEPING a tenant who is paying market rates! Pet peeve as I've seen so many favorites close and well by their empty store front years later...

Our second time here. It's fun overall. I remember the menu was bigger and included delicious dishes that were not there this time. The sourdough bread was served cold and dry. The only dish that really stood out was the polenta.

This remains one of our favorite spots in the neighborhood. The menu is always imaginative and refreshingly dynamic, constantly evolving with new flavors and ideas. The team shines in every aspect—delicious cuisine, thoughtful wine pairings, and genuinely top-tier hospitality. We'll miss it dearly, but we're excited to follow these all-stars wherever they land next.

I believe your restaurant is so lovely. Excellent food, wonderful host, top notch vibes. Yet, the way your bartender spoke with me last night stuck with me in such a negative way that I’m not able to shake it off 12 hours later. I really hope that it’s something he is able to reflect on as I cannot recommend your wonderful restaurant to others if that is the standard of hospitality.
