First of all I gotta mention how brilliant chef Edger is! His passion for cooking & improvising with new food is respectable! His eyes lights up everytime he gets to talk about his creations , loved that! He was kind enough to make mock-tails for me who doesn’t drink alcohol ! Thank you from the bottom of my heart.The staff were very kind, respectful & helpful! They worked hard from the start to finish. Chef has a good team ! Thank you guys for everything!I am a good lover, travel real far from my island just to try new food. It’s a commitment & lots of hard work. I am happy I was able to come here after getting off from work. And let me tell you it was all worth it, because every item was delicious. Even tho most of the items I have never had but I enjoyed them. So trying something totally new & enjoying it says a lot about the food!I got to try 3 different Mock-tails & I actually enjoyed all of them. Loved the Guacamole the most! Even in my head I was already making new recipes with guacamole lol.First time trying oysters & I liked it. Now I am not afraid to try it again lol! Also tried octopus for the first time & I loved it. I am so glad I was able to come, loved every minute of it.Met some new beautiful faces, tried to make some new friends. End of the day it was a wonderful event . Btw, the restaurant itself is beautiful, not too big. Small, cozy & cute little spot . Thank you Cena for the invite…❤️

Stumbled upon Cena on a Thursday night and we were blown away. The food and drinks are amazing and very reasonably priced. Also, there is a Salsa DJ every Thursday so it made for quite an experience. Highly recommend.

But trust assured, my judgment was not.I didn’t realize walking in that this was a fine-dining spot. I quickly did when all of the fancy plating came out. Here’s a quick rating for all the items I tried:Food—- sprinkled with beets was a fun twist. Personally could have used some more salt.- Cantina this is not good. They mentioned they’re sourced from LI, but I really don’t believe that. Please change vendors.- Beet very unique assortment of a salad. You know you’re at a fine dining when you see an art piece on your plate. There’s a combination of queso, salad, nachos that works, but is very weird. I liked it, but would I order it again?- Pulpo Al Adobe: 5.5/5 yoooo. This! Is so good. I need it again. Ps, it’s octopus.- Mole this is good. Didn’t get many chips. But I have a feeling if I was here by myself, I’d be able to get more chips.Alcohol—- refreshing, not that strong- red my favorite. Kinda like a sangria Margarita- brown one: 4.5/5 extremely strong and tastes like cinnamon.I’d recommend trying, but order other things plus the octopus.

Beautiful moles, cocktails, and delicious small plates. The service and staff are excellent. Came here for an impromptu birthday dinner and it exceeded my expectations! Our server and the bartender (apologies I can't remember their names!) made the evening special by bringing me a wonderful birthday desert that the bartender had created, it was kind of like a deconstructed mexican snickers situation, it was so good and unexpected! The cocktails are very well made and balanced, we had the hibiscus w/ tequila one and the cucumber one with mezcal. The atmosphere is chill, good music, clean and modern. Can't wait to go back and try the octopus and the other moles!
Food is terrific, but service was lacking. We may just get takeout from now on. Great, authentic sauces (moles, aguachiles). But we were the only customers in the restaurant and we waited forever between our two appetizers and then before entrées. And we still had to go hunt down our server when we wanted anything. He had a habit of just dropping dishes on our table and then retreating to the kitchen for long periods to talk to the cooks.
Everything about this place was wonderful! The foo was authentic and had a lot of flavor - our favorites were the aguachile ceviche and the pork tacos. The portions were very generous and well presented. Highly recommend!

Cena Cantina, sister location to another Cena in Windsor Terrace, is a wonderful trip for your taste buds.GuacamoleTheir guacamole is a great consistency and is garnished with slight additions that really elevate the dish. The grasshopper salt is not as scary as it seems, I promise! The homemade chips really make for a great visual presentation but I'll be honest, it's not as simple as thicker and predivided chips.PulpoThe octopus... This is the main reason I had to come back! I just do not have the words for a proper description. The outside skin is perfectly crispy, the octopus is perfectly juicy and the sauce is just perfect. That's all I got.
