My favorite opening move in Checkers is the front door of this fast food joint. When I first came through those doors, I thought I was in for another typical 3 star McDonald's or something along those lines, but what awaited me was crispy, piping-hot salvation. The double checkerburger with cheese was all that was great with a burger; the thinly cut, juicy meat exploded with flavor and mixed well with the crunchy and equally juicy lettuce and tomatoes; it's all just a great burger. However, the best and most unique thing (at least according to an outsider) about Checkers is their funnel cake fries. It is basically a fusion of fries and a cake, well a bit like a churro. A churro topped with whipping cream and strawberries at that. It's great for anyone with a sweet tooth like me. Overall, Checkers is a great place to go for good burgers and for churro fries. 4/5.

Guy at register did not want to sell me a combo for $5 after I repeated myself 3x what I wanted.. clearly I asked for cheeseburger $5 combo and I just don’t know what his problem is!

The Indian older guy that is working there tonight was very rude. I ordered and told him I trying too catch my train too go to work for 12am. Instead another customer comes in and he took their order and served him first. Very Disrespectful for a great neighborhood of Brooklyn Heights . very disappointed .
