I want to start off by saying the Art work and Decor is amazing and well thought out. I can see why people came by our table to take pictures (even though we were full on chowing down) but Nonetheless the server we had was so sweet and accommodating the environment was very welcoming...I will definitely be returning. I had the whiting grits and a salad with Salmon croquettes. And my best friend had Catfish Mac and cheese with collard greens. The food was on point, well seasoned and hot off the stove. I love a hot meal and it made me feel right at home. Another honorable mention the music was spectacular, perfect for the mood we were in. I loved it! 10/10 ❤️❤️❤️

Absolutely delicious! You wouldn't know to stop in from the outside looking in, but Cheri's is a hidden gem! When I walked in, the host staff were so kind and personable. They explained the menu well.
I ordered the salmon croquettes as an appetizer, and OMG! They were so good. I thought it was my favorite dish, then I tried the main entrees and couldn't choose which I loved more. I ordered shrimp and grits, and my other guest ordered chicken and waffles. EVERYTHING was well-seasoned and crispy. Will definitely be coming back just to get some more!

Pretty decent spot for brunch. The food is great! My whiting-fired fish and grits were amazing. My cousin had the fried chicken and it was nicely fried/seasoned. The only thing I would recommend is elevating the drinks.

Yesterday I got food from here and I asked for two Mac cheese I got one and also it’s was taste less and why was it brown ? And there was no cheese pull like the pictures on your website and the bbq chicken was frozen and the only thing that taste good was the bbq sauce without the sauce I probably would of threw up and the yams I don’t know what that was it was mystery mash potatoes and the greens was from the can and they was still nasty and the cake tasted old like it was for show and you guys still cut me a piece I really wonder do you guys taste what you make because my money was wasted and I’m very disappointed and my stomach is still hurting from the little bites I took never again will and I would of left a picture of the food but it’s in the trash a waste of 40 dollars

Okay what can I say about this place for the 1st time trying out this place I give it a 1 star very bad never ever going back ordered 2 of the same orders Mac n cheese yams collard greens one order with BBQ chicken came up to $39.00 had to wait 20 minutes thinking I was gone get some good food and yeah bad choice Mac n cheese was horrible hard and taste horrible wasn't Mac n cheese at all yams taste like mash potatoes didn't even taste like yams at all only thing that was good was the collard greens but that taste like they got the collard greens from a can tried to add a spicy pepper to it to make it look like they made it they self nothing here was good I give it a 1.5 star just because the service from rhe lady was a Lil ok that's about it plus I had told the lady 3 times my order and they still forgot 1 of the Mac n cheese I ordered never again waste of 40$ bucks

What a beautiful visit! I found this place on Yelp, and I'm glad I went. Service was kind and prompt, and the music was nostalgic! Now onto the food, I had the whiting and grits with a spinach side salad along with a rum punch. Oh and an appetizer of the lollipop lamb chops! Everything was delicious from beginning to end. I can't wait to go back!

I have never eaten here and never would. This review is about the way the establishment is run, which seems to be loosely, and with no regard for the members of the neighborhood who are unlucky enough to live in a home within earshot of their back patio, which is constantly and disrespectfully polluted with noise from loud parties. At times it has been erratic and continuous—could have been a Tuesday night, 4am, no one cared. Worst is when the management claim it’s a private party, so police either won’t respond to noise complaints or respond but nothing is done. Help me understand why a community restaurant wants to drive ALL the members of their very own community (except the ones that are paying to be inconsiderately loud) totally mental. I’ve had migraines, missed work, been up all night with my restless and crying child… it’s unconscionable to me that an establishment like this can simply skirt the rules and continue to operate. Nothing has been done in all the years I’ve lived here. It’s totally maddening. Owners should be absolutely ashamed of themselves for the PTSD and mental health crises they’ve aided in causing.
