None of the fresh danishes and rugalech are covered, so they are all hard and dry. I took a chance on a scone. It’s so dry it’s making me choke and cough.
The best rugalech and dairy products

The baked goods aren’t bad. Not as good as The Cake Center was (the one prior) but better than many others. My problem is the way they put out the Challahs on racks in the open. If someone sneezes or coughs they are inches away from the challahs. I only buy the packaged, sealed challahs when I go and I’m not the only one who feels this way. Would very McBride’s prefer a different setup

Looks amazing but had to try out different flavors till we found what we liked, either white sponge with chocolate cream or chocolate sponge with white cream.

One of the last, real, Family bakeries in the area! A good variety of all the usual suspects and breads, all baked as expected. They maintain the variety I feel by cutting down on specific quantities of each,- a fair tradeoff, so shop early if you have a specific need. I've lived in the area since mid 90s, and watched too many of this type of shop close at an increasing rate, many bought out by chain bakeries that ship product in from miles away. I hopw this one survives.

Pleasant people, but the rugelach needs work. They were dry, not flaky, and the cinnamon ones were bitter bc of too much cinnamon. First time seeing circular rugelach baked on the cut sides and not on a solid dough side; on several the sugar baked out of the filling and caramelized on the bottom. The challie needed more egg, it was paper white, and it was a kind of tough, like maybe kneaded a too long. Last criticism: EASE UP ON THE PLASTIC. Have you heard it isn't healthy and it's horrible for our environment?

Hamantashen were about average for a bakery (but still above grocery store standards). But I really liked the challah roll I got.

I used to like the bakery that was here before (Cake Center). So I finally walked in here to browse. A woman reached into a bin of cookies and ate one, without using a napkin. I scolded her and she laughed, and a worker right next to her didn't say anything. This is disgusting and unsanitary, especially in this day and age.
