I visited this place during my trip to New York. After days of eating nothing but burgers, pizza, and bagels, I was craving something more comforting — and I finally found it here. The mapo tofu and dan dan noodles hit the spot perfectly. The seasoning was just right, and they served a generous portion of rice. The staff were kind and welcoming, and the food was absolutely delicious. If I had discovered this place earlier, I would’ve come back several times during my trip....
Chiko is probably the best restaurant in Greenpoint and one of the best Chinese food places in NYC. They even do this with such limited items on there menu. I feel like places like Birds of a feather have to worry if they introduce other dishes in to the mix because like the current dishes; they will probably have the perfect balance of flavor and spice.
