honestly only writing a review because every single time i go, i have a genuinely pleasant experience.

the food (chicken katsu bento box lunch special) is always superb, the service is very friendly and the environment is quite nice (outside of school hours cuz kids walking by are loud) but other than that its great.

;; so this has pretty much been my go to sushi place. I’ve been ordering for years. Especially their chicken teriyaki and their shrimp tempura rolls. And their spicy tuna is bomb. Also whatever that sauce is that comes with the salads. That’s like life altering good. Love the gyoza and the sauce it comes with. And ofc Kani salad is everyone’s all time fave.

It's the worst place in 86 Street. You should be more polite

Looking into strollers and touching it and looking at babies without permission and then discussed about our family in Chinese

I’ve had sushi all over the world, and this is my family’s neighborhood favorite affordable sushi spot that has variety while remaining fresh, and the waiters are the loveliest ladies ever. Modest exterior and interior, but don’t be fooled, it’s good.

We particularly love the raw oysters here - medium sized, mild, a little sweet. Salmon, yellowtail, tuna, “white tuna”, mackerel are all great. Pass on the raw scallop. Garlic mussels were on the salty side, and the beef was good.

Terrible experience. The lady demanded a $30 tip even though I had already given her $20. She was rushing us to finish and leave, and even told us that if we didn’t like it, we could go sit outside to eat. Very rude and unprofessional — won’t be coming back.

The food is not good, they overcharged and forced me to leave a tip when all they did was bring the food, I said i will tip separately but they charged my card anyways. I don’t recommend

generous portions of thick cut sashimi. good quality fish. I prefer this place over the other sushi places on 86 street.

came here the next day after a disappointing dinner at Osaka a few blocks down on 86st. The sashimi here is better quality with bigger portions and better price, even though osaka may have a bigger variety.

The lunch specials are a good deal and will leave you stuffed.

Almost never had a bad experience in this place. I can count on 1 hand the times I've had meh food, its usually quite good.

Wait staff is 99.9% nice, they're always very polite when we visit. Love the sushi and tatsuta-age.
