Ordered a pick up order, lady on the phone said 25 min. I came after 30min and paid, nobody said there's going to be a long wait before I paid. Waited on their couch for an additional 30 min with my kid. Watched them give delivery guys orders while ignoring us. They didn't bother to offer even a water or anything to me or my kid, even after I brought up the long wait with them. Probably the worst customer service I experienced in a long time. Their sushi is fine but there are plenty of other sushi places near by similarly priced with similar quality. This place obviously doesn't want my business, I suggest you take your business elsewhere too.

This restaurant has been a local favorite since the beginning. Our favorite Japanese restaurant, we have been eating there for over 10 years.
We normally dine-in but they are quite popular with takeouts & deliveries, all fish is always fresh
& large selection of special rolls.
We literally tried their whole menu, over the years. Our all-time favorite is Sashimi deluxe, salmon & tuna tartare & they also have a salad version with avocado.
For this visit we had foie gras & tuna toro appetizers , AK-47 special roll, salmon skin salad , few pieces of white tuna & salmon sashimi. All delicious & beautiful presentation. Salmon skin has been over-grilled last few visits though.
Green tea ice cream is always amazing as well.

Where do I start. Ordered teriyaki , which was mostly sauce and onions, barely any shrimp. Rice was stale and old. Anyways will not come back, there are other sushi places in Sheepshead Bay. This place used to be much better

I have been going to Chikurin consistently for probably at least the last 10 years. I even remember whenever my family would take me here if I graduated high school or college. This place is probably the best sushi spot in Sheepshead Bay by a pretty great margin.

The sushi is always extremely fresh and the cooked appetizers are incredible and delicious. I always appreciate the hot tea and the iced water, and the exceptionally fast and speedy, attentive service. The quality of the food is superb and the variety of cocktails makes Chikurin a hit for all ages. I especially appreciate the oyster selection as well.

I highly recommend this spot for all sushi and lovers of Asian cuisine. You can’t beat the quality of sushi at this affordable price point.

Be careful this place uses unethical practices. They charge automatically a 20% service charge to any bill of any size and then on top of that if you're paying with a credit card they add a 3% surcharge fee.

That's why we all stopped going there with a dozen other sushi places around...

And looks like they're going for bankruptcy...

Ordered delivery and delivery person demands a better tip or he wouldn’t give me the food. Never saw such a service.

Beware this place is scam they overcharged me 15$. Sake was 2.50$ we went on Wednesday they charged me 8$. I had to wait by cashier 10 minutes to adjust price. And they charged me for special roll which we didn’t order!! Food was ok. But am not coming here again.
