Their food food is ok. Since they changed hands they give 2 wonton instead of 3 in the soup in house,the portions are smaller, the staff at the front are cheap, they want to nickle n dime for soy sauce,duck sauce n hot mustard packets.
I live in Chinatown and nobody does authentic Cantonese cuisine anymore. My friend brought me here and it was like a time machine. Dishes prepared how I remembered and delicious. From the Soup and Shrimp Toast to the Shrimp with Lobster Sauce, the drinks, staff and atmosphere it was an awesome dining experience.
What a find! From the moment we walked into the moment we left, we experienced wonderful gracious hospitality from the owner and other restaurant personnel. Very engaging people which whetted our appetite for the food at China New Star even more! The food was hot - a real treat - plentiful and delicious. All at a very reasonable price! We'll be back :)!
