I came in, and the cashier offered for the kitchen to mix the salad.
The guy rang the bell for the kitchen twice to mix the salad, but I
Waited about 10 min, and still no response from the kitchen.
So I decided to take my salad and mix it myself.
The cashier apologized.

The hava halva smoothie was so good! A bit thin, but I think the person making it was new, because I watched them pause and consult with another employee multiple times (making service kind of slow, on top of only 1 blender being in use.) I would definitely give them another try if I were in the area.

I had to wait over 30 minutes for 2 sandwiches
And I didn’t even get what I wanted, I ordered a goat cheese sandwich, and it was meant to come with eggplant. There was no eggplant inside and there was an Extreme amount of pesto and cheese inside
I am very disappointed with this service

Nice people working but it’s just not worth the price. Don’t buy food here. Just lazy salads and sandwiches slapped together.

Good drinks, if a bit on the sugary side. Convenient location and always open, reasonable prices.

For me, the overnight (10-9) man who works in this winter season is moody enough (he’s not a native NYer so can’t really blame him) to not make up for the positives: the rest of the staff being helpful and professional, excellent variety of food choices including many healthy options, free wifi, being open 24 hours 6 days a week, daytime back area to sit at a bar or table away from the street, great baking smells, lots of to-go novelty foods, and maintaining a clean environment. Their regular house blend brewed coffee is very affordable and reliable and you can get it with honey and oat/almond milk for a small fee, for the perfect balance (with aforementioned overnight worker, you have to remind him to stir it).
I wish there was soy milk though. I know there are people who say it’s not good for men, but organic soy milk is worth $1 more per cup because it’s so much richer and has protein, for sure.
There’s a woman during the early evening who has a special חושׁ sense for connecting with us shoppers and our needs.
I’ve been in the neighborhood for many years of my life and for many of us, this has become our local neighborhood coffee shop/cafe, and we have a sense of friendliness and warmth we have to expect from someone in the community we regularly see and interact with.
Please be aware, I’m not writing this to put myself above anyone else; I’m writing this for the sake of every one being comfortable, safe, and feeling welcome in shared spaces.
I contacted the manager multiple times about instances of inappropriate behavior from this individual, yet there was unfortunately a lack of improvement.
Finally, I must admit that it’s possible I’m the only one who is having this experience with this worker, for example maybe he is just like a little boy on the playground who likes a girl and starts behaving in a “too cool for school” way. I hope this doesn’t embarrass him.
Maybe, if you’re reading this all the way till now, you can help out by popping in to give him the gift of a kind word, or an interesting object, to help him thaw out and get some more chayus. It’s hard to imagine not sleeping a single night for months of weeks, we can remind him we care about one another, even a temporary resident. Let’s bridge the gap and give him some contagious warmth. After all, no man is an island.
May anyone reading this be blessed with clean interpretations, trusting HaShem in everyone else, remembering what needs to be remembered and forgetting what needs to be forgotten, releasing attachments, protection of the deep fertile inner feminine receptive land by carefully planting words that grow goodness in us.

The most inefficient staff in the world. Make me wait 30 minutes over a tuna sandwich just because. If I didn't ask they wont even notice. What? Never waste ya money here
