Sifu Ken Lo and his wife Angel radiate such warmth every time I go to drink tea with them. Sifu Ken shares his incredibly high quality teas alongside stories, poems and knowledge about each tea. Angel’s beautiful floral arrangements around the shop create a wonderfully calming environment to be present and enjoy the exquisite tea being served. Angel was amazing to work with and the final product for my friend’s birthday was stunning! The flowers were bought fresh that morning, I got to see pictures before delivery and she coordinated delivery so my friend was home. She even moved delivery dates when originally I requested a day that turned out to not work for the recipient’s availability. Angel was super accommodating and an overall pleasure to work with- above and beyond service and product! Highly recommend for any of your floral needs :)

We had so much fun here for my girlfriends birthday. Angel helped us set up a tea tasting for ourselves and some friends and it was the most fun I’ve had in a long time. She is such a wonderful host and her husband has an incredible knowledge of teas. It’s a cool, very small and local vibe and if you like tea and flowers you’ll love it. Ordered flowers over the phone. Florist picked a bouquet and showed a sample of what it could look like, also making it seem like it was going to be much bigger and fuller bouqet. Flowers were very ok and they were not even in wrapped nicely in the paper. Charged $168 for the flowers for what probably should have been a $60 bouquet of flowers at most. Flowers lasted about 5-7 days. I even added crushed Tylenol to the water like she advised. See image for yourself.

What a strange place! As a lifelong tea-drinker, I made a pilgrimage there. First, the place didn't look like an open establishment. The window was and store were full of random dead flowers and a few unremarkable cacti in the window. The lighting was dim.We went in and were clearly interrupting something -- a tea ceremony, a leaf reading? Who knows.I said I was there for tea. She wanted to know what kind. I mentioned several types that should be within the repertoire of any tea maven (Keemun, Congo, etc). She didn't know them. She appeared to have very few offerings, but I couldn't be certain; she wouldn't let me into the area with tea. She would take out bags, one at a time, and open them so I could sniff. I couldn't see any prices. I wasn't allowed to touch the bags, so I couldn't tell how full they were.I wound up choosing one by sniff that was more vegetal than I prefer, with a hefty price tag.

I don't write many reviews on here, but Angel and Shifu Ken are shining lights who took such kind and generous care of me when I visited them in Brooklyn twice a year part. Two friends and I had a truly magical experience at Shifu Ken's tea ceremony and I've since brought family of mine to share a tea ceremony and meet Angel and Ken. It became very clear to me and my friends that we had met our spiritual grandparents!! I've given Angel's gorgeous and creative flower arrangements as gifts to dear ones and my friends also went to Shifu Ken for a palm reading too. I couldn't recommend them more as kind and generous souls, and you should also definitely give them your business :)
