Very nice Cafe with tasty food. We love all the dishes. Server Leila was very nice and welcoming. Highly recommend this place if you want to try home made Georgian cuisine. They also have nice backyard which will open in April with live music on the weekends.

Small, cozy Georgian place with great food and friendly service!We stopped by Chveni Café in September 2022 based on excellent reviews to get some Georgian food. Our expectations were met and exceeded!The food was indeed very fresh and delicious and the service was so friendly that we felt like at home (thank you Lela)!We ordered: Pkhali Trio, Baje, Khachapuri Adjaruli and Megruli for appetizers; Kharcho soup; Khinkali, Kharcho Megruli, and Shkmeruli for mains. All food was very tasty and flavorful and we all really enjoyed it! Shkmeruli was very close to being over salted but remained on the border :)Overall, it's a great place we highly recommend it if you are looking for goo Georgian food!

Delicious meal and not too expensive. Pickle tray was very yummy. The bread with cheese and scallions was so fresh. The cheese dumplings (khinkali) were so good. Many restaurants often use too much salt but that was not the case here (even with the cheesy options). Wonderful!
Vegetarian options: A lot of cheesy options. I think there was a lot of meat but still things you can get without it.

Everything is just so tasty at Chveni Cafe! Even better than the Georgian food we first tried in Berlin. You can’t go wrong with any of the dishes here—everything we have eaten so far on multiple visits has been excellent. But start with the khachapuri chveneburi & eggplants with walnuts (pictured here) and then you have to try the chakapuli (veal stew), which is incredibly flavorful. The service is also wonderful and very helpful and knowledgeable—so feel free to ask questions. The only thing I’m honestly not sure about is the 10 percent service fee, which is added to the bill before gratuity. Nevertheless, this is a top-notch restaurant on a lively street in Bensonhurst.
