I ordered for delivery to upstate NewYork. I received my order on time. I ordered the seven layer and Cucidati (fig) cookies. They were fresh and so delicious. I used to live in the area and would go to their shop frequently until I moved in the 70s. I was so happy to find that they ship now.
The disclaimer here is that I am an Italian who for years have sat in their nonnas kitchen in southern Italy and have had the real deal pasticcerie made that day. With that said I was super excited to try but did not measure up I’m sure to my big expectations. Specially the baba rum had this like tangy, cheesy taste to it and I like mine more rum and spiced / Smokey. Cannolis were good but did not blow me away. Also the breading on some of the pastries was super dry- Nutella...
I just received a shipment of Sicilian fig cookies to my Long Island home . These fig cookies from Circo's bakery were best tasting fig cookies I have ever tasted. Thank you, Nino and Anthony. All the best Billy Ponzio..
