We ordered stuffed french toast, ibiza Benedict and truffle fries... the food tasted good but it was cold. Late was very good. Service a little slow due to only 2 people working.

A nice local eatery on intersection of Coney Island and Brighton Beach. Comfortable seats, friendly and attentive waiters. Our Wraps were tasty and mildly seasoned. Loved having green leaves, falafel and hummus. Water was served with a mint right away. Definitely worth a price, especially when you are in that area and have a short time for a light branch and/or lunch, close to Brighton Boardwalk and beach and next to B/Q train station.

Of the current staff, one member who appears to be current head thinks he can ask an Asian customer where they are from and doesn’t realize that’s actually racist in NYC even when told.Door operating hours also not been updated for near half a year (it is a lot shorter now), and new staff does not understand English at all.You can point out fifteen times what you would like to order, your lunch break wasted because staff cannot even operate the register (a basic skill), and the head of staff would think he is still in the right / feels entitled to yell at you for getting unhappy / waste even more of your lunchtime. It should not take 25 minutes just to settle a simple order of dessert at a non-peak hours / mostly empty store.Furthermore I lost count also of the times the cake were stale. Both food and service had significantly declined in a year.(Edited to respond to below)Isn’t it obvious if I have been here for a year+ I am from nearby? He is not entitled to ask anyone that.Your staff felt entitled to tell a long time customer to get out today. Please have him review the basics of service industry, he is in need of it. I do not know any other place that feels entitled to that much of their customer’s time without at least an apology. The cake today was also leftover for at least 2-3 days. I enjoy gourmet cakes often, don’t misrepresent and do better about how long they are kept.

The place is a gem. We celebrated my daughter's 9th birthday here today! I picked this off of Instagram and I am happy. And so was the birthday girl. The food looks as good as it tastes. Our server was gracious and patient. They cut and served the birthday cake we brought in. One thing worth mentioning there is no alcohol served (didn't matter for us we were with kids). Definitely not a deal breaker and we will come back. One of the little girls in our group wants to come back for her birthday so we might make this a thing!

I went to Clavel's, for brunch with my daughter in law, to celebrate my Birthday, that was, the day before. We dined in. This place is very good. The food is amazingly delicious! ? I had a crossaint with egg and bacon with a salad on the side. Which is in picture #2. My daughter in law, had a stuffed grilled cheese but we both have never seen a grilled cheese that's stuffed. Which is in picture #1. Not only that, the stuffing in the grilled cheese was so soft and sweet. Then, to top it off, it has such a crunchy layer on top. It has a thin crunchy layer of tiny little grains (the size and texture, of granulated sugar) but of apple, AMAZING! It also came with some syrup, for dipping. She also had a side of salad. The place is cozy, clean and on the back wall, there's a beautiful painting of a woman. On the left side of the wall, there's a (fake) beautiful tree, with flowers, flowing down. The service was great as well. I highly recommend this place. The wonderful workers are great. They were all friendly and one of them actually surprised me by saying something in Spanish. Which I found very cute. They also have desserts. They have some delicious baked goods. Everything is fresh. Clavel is open, Monday thru Sunday, 9am to 6pm. They also make reservations for 6 people and more. There's no parking for the business. The entrance is wheelchair accessible and there is 1 restroom.

Place is good . We were here for Breakfast. We looked for. Reviews and decided to try this place out. We ordered shakshuka whish was awesome and ordered Belgian waffles. I don't know what happened because waffles on the other reviews looked good . What I got was premade stuff from supermarket.

I’m born and raised in Brighton beach , and a traveling foodie. I have seen many places on this corner come and go. I really don’t know why whoever opened this restaurant decided to do this. I was truly excited about a Spanish tapas place opening here , Brighton could definitely use it. But this is not that. There are 5 tapas items total and one is Italian and the other is… Japanese ? The clavel tuna with crispy rice is what we ordered and it definitely is not as advertised. The tuna is not tartar, it’s like poke tuna. The crispy rice is more of a fat rice ball that’s not crispy and falls apart. No seaweed, sweet sauce. Just not good. We also got the shroomani salad which is also alright. The restaurant says they are a Spanish French Moroccan fusion but the menu has more sandwiches and breakfast than anything else, doesn’t seem to know what it wants to be culturally, and doesn’t contribute any one thing to this neighborhood that another spot doesn’t do better. They should find one lane and stick to it. The waitresses were very nice but the service wasn’t good. They didn’t check on us and the food took forever and we were one of maybe 3 tables. The place is beautifully decorated and location has a lot of potential but overall disappointing.

Really cute atmosphere. Instagramable spot. Had the spinach salad w/ strawberry vinaigrette. It was delicious, but next time will ask for dressing on the side. They have an assortment of macaroons for sale too.

This place even makes their tap water taste good! First time here, we were blown away. The quality of the food is amazing, fresh tasting, and layers of flavor. The Ibiza Benedict is highly recommended. My husband had it with prosciutto instead of lox. I loved the avocado toast, which I had with lox. We both drank the macaroon latte, which was not super sweet and very strong. We loved it and the macaroon that came with it.The atmosphere is beautiful, our waitress was attentive and professional. If we lived in the area still, we would make this our go-to spot.

We found this location from Tik Tok and decided to immediately give it a try. We got here around 12pm on a Tuesday for a party of two. We had the patatas bravas which I whole heartedly recommend. Also enjoyed the salmon scrambled and stuffed french toast. The vanilla and caramel macchiato were hard to enjoy, wish we would’ve had the famous macaroon latte but we’ll be back for that.Definitely will be sharing and recommending this spot!
