The food here is impeccable. Just wow, I can’t stop raving and talking about this dinner.I went for the fall menu of 2023 and it was everything and more. From the service to the playlist to the open kitchen everything was perfect. Each course told a story, each bite was bursting with flavor. Sure it is very pricey but it was the best meal of my life, no regrets.

The food was fantastic. The staff seemed way too serious to me personally. I’d give the value a 3/5 but still, the food itself was great. We spent 400 per person without add-ons.

The chef's dishes are to die for, showcasing a culinary mastery that truly impresses. I had the pleasure of a fantastic waitress, who demonstrated a deep knowledge of all the ingredients, spices, and seasonings used in the dishes. The decoration of the place adds to the overall charm, creating an ambiance that enhances the dining experience. Without a doubt, the food was absolutely wonderful, and every aspect of my visit left me thoroughly impressed.

Food very, very good. Service very good. BUT…Drink water before you go! It’s $10 a bottle for WATER…plain water…and they REFUSE to serve tap water. Wonder if they charge for unscrewing a cap if you bring your own.

Some dishes were salty, and the dessert was somewhat disappointing given the price and expectations ⭐. The Wagyu was great, though.

Finally got a reservation to this place and it is absolutely amazing. It's beautiful, cozy, and very intimate. I love seeing the open kitchen. The staff was incredible and the tasting I had was far better and more interesting than anything I've had in a long time. This place is so much more interesting than a place like Le Bernardin.

Dined here for my birthday in November and was one of the most memorable dinners I've ever had! I was intrigued to try this place and thrilled to meet the chef, Charlie as he's the only Black Michelin starred chef in New York City! This guy is making history and will be following his journey. I had the 12-course chef's tasting menu paired with a tasty Sauvignon Blanc that the sommelier had recommended after looking over the list of pairings. The food was amazing--10/10! My favorite was the duck as it just melted in my mouth and left me feeling like the happiest person in the world, no joke! The ambiance was everything!--10/10. The small quaint restaurant is very intimate and perfect for a date night. The music was fitting and even the bathroom was so cute with burning candles! We sat at the bar which had a view of the chef and his crew preparing the sophisticated dishes of the night. It was great! The service was exceptional--10/10. The waiters that would bring out the tastings were knowledgeable about each tasting and described and answered questions effectively about the dishes. The waiter and sommelier were engaging and very knowledgeable as well. I'd love to try this restaurant again when back visiting New York City. Can't wait to try the chef's newest tasting either!

[One star ⭐️ Michelin] On a quiet, residential street in Brooklyn Heights, Clover Hill is a small 26 seats restaurant that is worth a trip. Chef Charlie Mitchell is the first black chef in NYC that’s awarded a star. His dishes carry an Asian influence and use the freshest ingredients. Love all the dishes but the rice with lobster and duck really stands out! ??

Ok so I was a tad bit worried about the meal because the reviews said food is very salty. But I was like eh people are probably just dramatic….. no it was actually salty like wow wow!!The price was kind of wild for alcohol pairings and optional add-on so stayed with the regular course and water (even tho regular course isn’t cheap either). The first three dishes are like hors d'oeuvre. The one with smoked lobster was way too salty, need to remember that ikura that they put on top is salty on its own…And the carrot tart with sweet potato that’s supposed to be like a French twist on curry….. tasted like sour cream with curry powder :(The cornbread with wagyu, you couldn’t really taste anything else but the butter in the cornbread and the grated cheese on top.Torched scallop with pear and dashi, don’t know why they torched the scallop if it’s really from Hokkaido… they are sweet on its own. and dashi broth had so much olive oil you wouldn’t want to really drink that. The grits with Hokkaido uni…. Oh my days. The saltiest thing by far, and why did we use grits to cover all the Hokkaido uni that’s so delicious on its own for its sweetness??? You could only taste grits and cheese and salt with a tad bit of uni even tho I don’t think they were stingy on the uni portion (you can’t see though cuz the whole dish is covered in foam).Koshihikari and king crab…. A sh*t ton of truffle on top even tho it smelled kinda strange (not truffle smell) and also don’t get why koshihikari, a branded rice from Japan, would be used for a risotto type of rice dish?? So strange.Karei….. was fishy, not like spoiled or bad or anything. Just bad execution of the fish itself. You do get a sh*t ton of caviar on top for no apparent reason but hey if you like caviar you are about to see a mountain of caviar for a tiny piece of fish.Sawara… it’s got like…. Matsutake mushroom on it but it tasted just like regular mushroom because matsutake should have a distinct smell and flavour. Unless the matsutake is frozen previously. Also the shape of matsutake looked like regular baby Bella mushroom. The fish itself is allegedly marinated in I think miso? Unsure if miso is what I tasted cuz it tasted more like mirin.Duck, the meat itself cooked very well, tender. This one I think the sauce just purely wasn’t what I was interested in. You can swap it for wagyu but after eating the wagyu with the cornbread I was like …. Meh.Ok now the palette cleanser…. The pineapple sorbet should be left alone. Whatever coconut thingy on the bottom was very strange. Wouldn’t be considered as palette cleanser in my opinion. There are lots of desserts for this course meal…. Apple tart with goat cheese ice cream, ice cream was quite lovely, and the tart filling was like fancy gelatine heavy apple pie. Then you get madeleines which was not bad at all, very light and fluffy. Then some… jelly thing that was way too sweet, dark chocolate cup that’s supposed to be a fancy version of milkyway with bunch of golden flake on it lol and passion fruit tart type of thing with torched meringue that’s way too sweet.Ok so that’s the whole meal… pretty damn disappointing. If you are the type of person where camera eats first, you will love it cuz fancy ingredients etc.But. The staff. Extremely attentive. So many staff were there when there were literally eight of us total in the restaurant including me and my partner. I think more staff than customers. Which I don’t complain. Great service.Anyway… thanks for reading until the end. Unfortunately, I will not be back :(

I think this is one of the worst restaurants I have ever been considering the cost-benefit ratio. The menu has no sense, there is no logic line among the different dishes. Every course is redundant and messy, tastes are confused and also the prime goods arrivo ruined in this way. It is not worthy a single star Michelin. I would never come back in such a place!
