If I had to choose my last meal on earth, it would almost certainly be at Colonie.I love the pasta, the appetizers are decisions, the veggie side dishes are superb. And brunch here is fantastic - it’s not the same dishes you see on everyone else’s menu, but it’s also not so precious that it’s off putting. The staff here is friendly and knowledgeable, the room feels great. It’s just all around superb.Pro tip: If you can, sit at the chef’s table in back. You’ll get to watch longtime chef Kone and his team work their magic. It’s like watching a ballet, they move so smoothly together. If there’s no room at the chef’s table, the two booths up front get great sunshine at brunch time. But really, you can’t go wrong.

My relative took me here since it's one of her favorite. The atmosphere is exceptionally calm and well dimmed. Sat in the corner seating but door kept making a lot of noise. The service was amazing especially foood came right on time or earlier. The portion of the dishes were quite small but filling. The flavor was delicious but wish it was warmer.

Amendment, 20 months later:What's below still applies; the level of pretense here is MIND BOGGLING. No we don't do egg whites. No, you cannot get our pastries to go. BUT: my goodness is the brunch food superb. It's ... fine. Well, no, not exactly. The food is good but not great. The service was pleasant once we had our waitress. It's noisy, pretentious, and ... thankfully, about 20% less expensive than we expected. So yeah, it's fine.

Loved sitting at the chefs counter, it was not something you get to see every day.

Came here last night for my anniversary and had a truly fantastic experience. The mushroom crostini was so good I ordered another one. And we saw a celebrity eating there which was p cool.

Went for brunch this Sunday at 1pm and we were able to grab a table for 2, no wait! We sat at the high top looking at the greenery wall but it worked fine for us! It's a very cozy feel in there, brick walls, dark colors, very welcoming. I don't typically like runny egg dishes but the flavors in the Turkish eggs were out of this world. A little tangy a little spicy! The cacio e Pepe eggs were good, definitely something I could make at home though. Bread was unreal. If you order the Turkish eggs have the person you're with get an extra side of bread bc they will want to dip in the sauce. Side of bacon is a must as well!Definitely not a place for a picky breakfast eater but if so the cacio e Pepe is a good people pleaser.

Love this place. I went twice. Good food, nice service and fine wine selection. If you have the chance, sit close to the kitchen, where you can see they cooking the food. The mushroom pate and the deserts are the best.

Quotes from around the chef’s table: “I never want to eat anywhere else” “ooooh my GOD this should be illegal it’s so good” “WHAT are these flavors? I’ve never had a dish with these combinations!” Each statement is 100% true. The dishes were so unique and so damn flavorful!!! Everything we ordered was *outstanding* : the mushroom pate made our eyes roll back, Delicata Tempura with whipped ricotta was insane, we practically licked the bowl of the Arctic char with gooseberries, then came the Halibut that was cooked so divinely with perfect crisp and melt-in-your mouth flakiness, followed by the flavor bomb of the Pappardelle. All amazing! And the food was not the only highlight- the genuine warmth and kindness of the staff elevated the entire experience! Kone (spelling?) was a master in the kitchen and having the opportunity to connect with him was such a treat. Our server Anna was excellent as well! Wonderful wonderful experience- thank you so much!

Cute place! Just got dessert and a drink with a friend. Atmosphere was super chill and all of the workers were really nice. We got/shared the sticky date cake and it was so good but so sweet be warned! Not to say it wasn’t delicious. Would probably go back to try dinner there sometime.
