The food, the service, the kind staff, the atmosphere, the coziness!

My experience here today was so bizarre. Planned to meet a friend here for brunch and arrived around 1:45 pm. The place was completely empty except for a few employees playing pool. When they greeted me, they asked if I was there for candle-making (?) but they seated me in the bar area as soon as I said I was there for brunch with a friend. I was offered coffee which was served in a paper cup (??) and given a menu. I was also told there was a special brunch menu but the only item specifically mentioned to me was a brunch burger with bacon, egg, and cheese. I was asked by 3 separate employees (who were all nice enough) if I was ready to order within the span of 10 minutes and I explained (with apologies) that I was waiting for a friend and didn't want to order without her. By the third time, I felt so guilty for not ordering that I asked for an appetiser off the menu and was just told "oh we don't have that anymore." So I asked again to wait for my friend and they said that was fine. They had a bunch of heat lamps turned on in other parts of the restaurant and it was absolutely freezing inside-- guessing the heat wasn't on? Who knows. My friend arrived a few minutes later and while we agreed that we thought the place was a little weird, we decided to order food anyway because we were starving. We both ordered burgers and settled in to catch up with one another while we waited. In all, we waited 30 minutes for two burgers and kept being told by multiple employees that it would be "just a few more minutes" and that our food was cooking. After 20 minutes, I tried to check in on the status of our food and was told (unprompted by any aspect of my question) that the few other customers who arrived after us had simply ordered food that was "easier to make." Okay? After 30 minutes, my friend politely asked what was taking so long and explained that we were really hungry. The waitress said that food was being prepared for multiple events that day and the kitchen was backed up. Finally our food arrived-- burgers hilariously overcooked, pretzel buns literally burnt... whatever. I wasn't about to make any more of a fuss bc I really just wanted to leave by that point. Then they brought us homemade banana bread with our meals by way of apology, which was nice enough. But then they kept stopping by the table to demand that we try it, even though we were trying to eat the food we'd actually ordered. Just such a weird and uncomfortable experience all around, would not recommend.

This bar is a hole in the wall. The beer is okay and the cocktails are very basic, but we came for the karaoke! I wouldn't order food here as it's quite lackluster. We got wings, quesadillas, and nachos and none of it was actually tasty. There were 6 of us and we just left most of it at the table. Bummer!

Went here for a Crab Fest. The staff is SOOOO attentive. And it wasn’t annoying either. If they saw you needed something they’d just do it. Also saw a paint nite going on so might check that out. Overall it was a great experience.

Omg! You walk into what feels like a bowling alley, but completely quiet. No music. No people. No nothing. The bartender doesn't look up or say hello. Wtf is going on here?? What a waste of space!

Great food, fresh salads, friendly staff, welcoming owner. They host New York Free Poker tournaments, karaoke nights, trivia contests, painting events, and open mics. Artwork on the walls, clean bathrooms, darts, a pool table, and a small stage. Check 'em out!

the location and the space are great however the liquor is so off tasting and overpriced for a Dixie sized cup filled with ice that I will not return there again. they are higher prices than the spots I go to in the city. the bartender is unattentive and spent more time talking to a female at the bar and didn't really care about anything else. will not be returning at all.
