We celebrated my mother’s 75th birthday with 40 guests at this chic restaurant back in April, and the experience was absolutely fantastic. I cannot stop thinking about how special this was for my mom. From start to finish, everything was seamless, and that was largely thanks to Kiara, the restaurant's event director. She was incredibly attentive, warm, and made sure every detail was just perfect.
The food was delicious, the ambiance was beautiful, the DJ was amazing and all of our guests felt truly special. I can’t recommend this place enough for any milestone celebration. Huge thanks to the entire team and especially to Kiara for making it a night to remember!

We decided to have a girls' night out and celebrate 35 years of friendship. The Continent
did not disappoint. Entering the restaurant, the greeting of the hostess was very pleasant. Once we were seated, our waiter came over quickly. Since this was our first time at the restaurant, the waiter was very helpful and very informative. He made great recommendations from food to drinks.
To start, we had lobster fried rice, pepper prawns, and tamarind wings. The lobster fried rice and the pepper prawns are definitely a repeat act. Those 2 starters are very good and a must-have. The wings were a little tough and dry. We were a little disappointed.
For the entrees, we had braised lamb shank and pan seared salmon. The lamb lacks season but very tender. The salmon was good.
We had no complaints about the drinks. The cocktails are good, and the mocktails are wonderful.
At the end of the meal , we had the pleasure of meeting Aliya. To our surprise, she was the owner. It was good to see a young black female owner. She was very nice and welcoming.
So if you are looking for a beautiful restaurant in brooklyn with great ambiance, great service and great food this is the place for you. We can't wait to return to try other options on the menu.

I stopped by the Continent to visit a friend who was staying at the hotel and had such a wonderful dining experience. I was first taken aback by how chic and warm the decor was. I ordered the oysters and a bottle of white wine. Both did not disappoint! Oysters were fresh and the wine paired perfectly. We then ordered a round of drinks. I had the Berry Bramble and it was absolutely delicious. I can’t wait to return!

firstly, this place is stunning. when we walked in, it was so quiet in such an elegant way. the place was pretty full, but there was no loud blaring music which i appreciated. it felt like such an upscale and intimate dining experience *because* it was so quiet.
the velvet seating was a nice touch, too. they’re soft and cushy, and they suck you in to a cozy, comfortable world as you get ready to indulge in the rich flavors awaiting you.
we ordered a lot, and every dish was exquisite. the tamarind wings are a must - just do it. the oysters were so decadent! and the prawns - bury me in that sauce, please. please.
we also ordered the tomahawk steak was cooked to perfection with the most flavorful crust. highly recommend if you can swing it. the salmon with calaloo gnocchi was something i’d never had before but will certainly dream about having again. the fried egg on top of the oxtail fried rice was a great touch because, well, who doesn’t love a fried egg?! and, okay, wow, the brussels sprouts really surprised me because i never knew brussels sprouts could be so delicious.
for dessert, we had the mango passion fruit mousse and - omg - it was light, tart, and a great end cap to our stunning meal. the cocktails were also wonderful; i got a sweet one with whiskey and one with tequila and peach. i recommend both.
i cannot say enough good things about this place! and i actually can’t wait to go back because they were out of the oxtail bao and i can’t go on living not knowing what that tastes like. thank you to chef, rick, and aliya for making my best friend’s birthday such an outstanding night to remember!!
