I guess I shouldnât be surprised that the cornbread was so good coming from a place called âCornbread Brooklyn â
But there I was being assailed by the flavors and softness of their cornbread. I spent a few years living down South, and I canât get southern food this good down there.
Their fried chicken was flavorful and crispy.
The Mac and cheese was maybe a little drier than ya momâs mac on Thanksgiving, but if she brought this out youâd still have seconds.
And that Southern Twang was the Twangiest.
Will definitely drop by again

My wife and I flew into NY lunch and the Michael Jackson musical. We wanted soul food and cornbread soul was CRAZY GOOD! Best damn soul foul I had in agesâŠWe will be back!!
Iâve been wanting to come here for a few months because of the rave reviews of their food. Overall, the food was good. What I did not like was the attitude of the Servers, especially the one that took our orders. She was cold, didnât smile, Even when we thanked her, she had a very blank stare and never said youâre welcome back to us. I never understood why people like this work in the service industry. She didnât make us feel welcome and I definitely wonât be back.
