Beware! Ordered chicken salad with
macaroni salad and the pasta salad had moth webs all through it. Completely unsanitary and revolting.
Asked for a cold drink and they gave me a hot. I could understand if they were overly busy but he took my order turned around then gave me my drink in less than a minute. Their half and half was also spoiled which ruined my entire drink if I could give them a zero for it I would. However their only redeeming quality was their bakery the cookies were delicious.
Wonderful corner cafe & bakery 👍
Closely situated next to Prospect park and within walking distance. A good spot for cyclists looking to refuel with coffee & a pastry.
The venue looks modern & classy. Service is quick & welcoming.

Absolutely Amazing! The Cheese Cake is 100% the Best! The Owner & The Staff are Awesome! I went there with My 5 Children & they were so Nice, Welcoming & Professional! I Highly Recommend going to Cousin John's! Thank You!
This was my favorite place to stop for some treats when I would walk up to Park Slope. I discovered them before they moved to the corner and was hooked however over the last year its just not worth the calories or money really. Most of the pastries are bland/tasteless, unpleasantly dense, and the cookies are oily. The elephant ears today were good but the last two times they tasted burnt. I also got the brownie and it was stale/dry, dense, and crumbly while not really tasting like anything than raw cocoa powder aftertaste.
A shame. I hope they come back to some quality.
amazing pastries and coffee here, great vibes inside but i always love sitting outside and enjoying my incredible pastries! just tried one of their quiches for the first time as well which was absolutely immaculate - one of the best i’ve had. this place is unbeatable for coffee and some sweets in park slope

We have bought cakes from here for years, very nice staff and very good pastries.
There desserts are wonderful, not too sweet, delicious and the best around. Reasonable prices and friendly staff.

I was visiting a friend in Brooklyn and, as we were out, he suggested we stop by here for a quick bite and I am SO GLAD he did!! Wow!! It was INCREDIBLE!! I had such difficulty deciding as about two dozen things in the cases looked great. I settled on a Linzer cookie, hot chocolate, and a croissant. While the hot chocolate and croissant were excellent, the Linzer cookie was unbelievable!! I have been to Austria and the Linzer cookie I had today is probably the best I’ve ever had. Also, all three people behind the counter were incredibly friendly and made me feel so happy and comfortable here. I wish this place was where I lived but, this will be a must visit place on my annual trip here. I cannot recommend this place highly enough. Please come here as it must survive forever so I can try all the other things that tempted me today on future trips.
Kid-friendliness: There were a few very happy kids here enjoying their treats.

I come here to get strawberry shortcakes for celebrations and occasionally treat myself to their pastry items. I have to say, I rarely have issues with their product quality, maybe just once when they sold me a sliced strawberry shortcake with not so fresh strawberries. However, staff is consistently rude and disorganized. They always seem to have an attitude as if your presence in the bakery is an inconvenience to them. No one wants to go to an establishment where you feel not wanted there.
This is an old school Brooklyn type of establishment. The way it felt nostalgic the minute I walked in!! This is the type of place you walk in and enjoy a cup of coffee and treat and just sit there and relax and stay a while. The older folks there gave me regulars feel. There were even three young adults doing a puzzle. I had a chocolate chip conoli with my friends. We sat and chatted for a while thoroughly enjoying the conoli and the atmosphere.

This place is the birthday cake king of Park Slope. Very good quality cakes, tarts, cookies and more. It is also a great place to have breakfast or sip a coffee anytime . Relaxed and pleasant, but popular .
