I love this place. A true heart of hearts community spot. The food is REALLY good and fresh! so that explains the price. They actually know how to make a cortado and a flavored latte (rare in these parts). Free WiFi and space to work as well as a super cute backyard in the warmer months. The person I always see working here is SUPER nice, helpful, and always willing to make things how you like them, no questions asked. <3

Paid $11.50 for a small homemade tea and a cookie. Ambiance is nice but not that nice. Breuklyn was half the price

With so many options for coffee it can be hectic for an indecisive person like me. I'm so glad I stumbled upon this cafe one morning when I was in search of good coffee. Crown Heights cafe didn't disappoint. I ordered a Flat White and it was creamy and balanced, and made with care.I went back a second time trying the latte and this time I stayed. The energy and vibe are unmatched compared to other cafes I've tried in the area. I forgot to ask for the playlist because I couldn't keep my head from bopping. It's rare to find the owner working just as hard as the baristas and doing so with love and kindness. The icing on the cake was that I was supporting a black business! If you are in search of a new place to work while you sip on your "joe" or munch on a snack, look no further. You may just fall in love like me. I've tried the flat white, latte, and Nutella mocha (my favorite). I would recommend them all!

Great study spot, outlets, great pastries and open wifi?

The whole experience was fantastic. My fiancée and I ordered 2 iced Nutella mochas and an egg and cheese bagel. The cashier was probably the best part about the experience. He was absolute fabulous and made sure everything we had was good. There was free Wi-Fi available which was great for planning our experience.

Although I have yet to try the food, the coffee and atmosphere of Crown Heights Cafe is comforting. You can tell this is a community gem that meets good quality with a friendly homey feel, lots of seating and outlets, perfect for getting some work done or meeting with friends! Cant wait to come back!

The prices on the menu are incorrect. We were charged $5.50 for a donut, which is $3.25 online and $5 on the board. We were also overcharged for the latte. When we pointed this out to the server, she refused to refund the difference and dismissed us offhandedly. Otherwise the donut was dry and disappointing -- you can tell it's not fresh. The latte was okay.

2 drip coffee and 2 plain croissants cost me 20 bucks + tip. Coffee was fine but pastry was not fresh at all. That’s insane you charge almost $6 for a plain croissant that is not even good. At least ppl who work were nice.

I moved from Crown Heights and still frequent this cafe. Great atmosphere, decor and staff. Avocado toast is one of the best I’ve had

A warm feeling cafe with good coffee. If I lived in the neighborhood I would be here all the time.

Not good coffee. My cappuccino was a shot some milk and a bunch of the most course foam ive ever seen. The staff is amazingly friendly and attentive. The food looks really good though i didn’t have any.

Cute coffee shop with a cool vibe but unfortunately the coffee isn’t great despite having stumptown beans. The cappuccino is just milk dumped into an ok espresso shot.

A 6oz lukewarm coffee and an unremarkable scone cost me $9. That’s insane. I guess it’s just the lesser of two evils when put next to the very chaotic bagel pub?UPDATE: today’s scone and iced coffee was $13 and not that good ? whhhhhy. Blue Bottle is cheaper than that- a phrase no New Yorker has ever said
