They had a pop up store in Columbus circle Winter market. Worst chicken skewers ever. First gave me cold and hard chicken. Then upon complaining gave me warm and hard chicken. Waste of $14.
Great stand at Smorgasburg-the smokiness invites you in for a great kabob experience and it really is great one. You can get set small set (2 meats) a medium set or a large one and I got 2 lamb skewers and 3 chicken. The chicken is nicely seasoned; a nice balance of lemon, pepper and saltiness, I loved it the most and the lamb was a nice surprise. I expected it to be gamey and it wasn’t; the spices and char were such a nice experience. This is a stand you can visit each time and not tire of it ?

The arrosticini (lamb) are the real deal, tastes like those we get in the family in Abbruzzo and my kids went crazy about them!

Chicken and beef were great, lamb was decent. Cherry lemonade had too much cherry syrup.

The BEST lamb skewers ever !!! Perfectly made with the perfect balance of lamb and fat. So flavorful and juicy !! We make it on the specific charcoal grill but it’s just as good made on your bbq. Add a dab of salt as its grilling and your mouth with enjoy every burst of flavor. Feels like I’m back in Abruzzo where it was all first introduced to us. So happy to have not only found Tommaso on the internet but met him as well when I was desperate for an order and knew it wouldn’t arrive on time. He met us at his shop on a day they were closed just so we wouldn’t be without the lamb for our party. Kudos to you Tommaso and your beautiful family.. Highly recommend.
D’Abruzzo serves up meaty skewers at Smorgasburg. the Italian eats are grilled over a large charcoal furnacell. the menu is pretty simple— lamb or chicken skewers as well as a pizzelle with Nutella.got a sampler— an ARROSTICINI which is a grilled cubed seasoned lamb and a SPIEDINI which is grilled chicken chunks. both are served on skewers and delicious. the meats are high-quality and you can taste the slight char, juicy meat, and savory flavors bc the skewers are grilled with care and skillfully. the skewered eats are a great portable eat at the food fair. two skewers are $6staff run a tight ship and are nice.
Extremely tasty and juicy. I tried the steak, lamb, and chicken.
The chicken skewers were very dry and just all salt
