DOC is a special place. The food, staff, ambiance are all superb. Cold night in the back room or patio when it's warm, hard to beat. Groups, alone at the bar, romantic dinner, it works for everything.
Great atmosphere and service although the food was just okay. Rice ball's were not hot and the lasagne was dry needed more sauce. The parpadelle special was quoted as 29 dollars and the charged 35. It tasted like a German dish rather than Italian. They gave a little bread for the table with a tiny bit of olive oil not enough or seasoned. No offer of grated cheese or red pepper. A cup of tea 5.00 absurd. I would recommend for date night just chose your menu items carefully.
This is a great date night spot with a romantic but lively vibe and FANTASTIC food. The pasta was cooked perfectly al dente, and a very generous portion. The service was what I would describe as European - not there to woo you like so many American restaurants, but just to take your order and bus the table.
