Although I initially found the sandwiches a bit pricey, the overall experience completely is greatttt. The cashier guy was excellent, and everything was fresh and delicious. In the end, it was definitely worth every dollar.
If you’re in the neighborhood, I highly recommend stopping by ❤️

Not sure if it was the shock of something radically unexpected or the thing in itself, as the ultimate culinary savant Immanuel Kant would have it. But when I tried the turkey sandwich for the first time I swear it was close to a religious experience. There was reddish spice, crunch and the resistance of a magnificent European baguette (my terms, not terms of art). Hosanna, Depanneur. And repeat experiences have not cheapened or normalized the event for me.

$15 for a “breakfast sandwich” — half a boiled egg, single slice of avocado, and slice of melted cheese on a hard croissant … I truly understand the rent might be expensive, but seriously? I’m local, and want to support local, but I felt scammed. Any other corner store or bodega will do in the future.
Really hard to believe any of these reviews are true … you must have never travelled or work in an LED-lit office. I hope your employees are being paid a fair wage, and have benefits, too.

Depanneur is all about delicious healthy specialty artisanal foods served by friendly people who are passionate about customer service! We stopped there in the afternoon, and we were very impressed with delicious home made sandwiches to order, with a wide selection of coffees, teas and a very wide selection of snacks! The store also has specialty foods and condiments to take home, along with wines, pasta, flowers, gourmet breads, cookies and many kitchen ware items! They also do catering! It is worth stopping to browse because there are so many interesting things to see as well!

Such a thoughtfully curated shop that is so beloved in the Williamsburg neighborhood
Stopped in for a latte just before 6 PM on a Wednesday evening and was told there was no espresso available. Very disappointing, especially on a cold winter night when this was the closest option. It felt as though the espresso machine had been cleaned early and they didn’t want to use it again before closing. I understand the desire to wrap up for the night, but closing down the espresso machine more than an hour before the cafe closes is unacceptable. 😡

First photo shows the amount of turkey they claim to put, second is what it actually is. Criminal for a $20 sandwich. I’ve ordered from here a lot and every time the amount of turkey has been decreasing, now it’s literally two slices of deli meat. It tastes good but you can’t screw people like this, not ordering again.
Expect to wait 30 min for a mid sandwich :D

while the sandwiches are quite tasty, no. 4 is yummy, the coffee is absurdly overpriced and the service is very very slow. $6.25 for a 16 oz mid cold brew is overpriced even for Williamsburg’s price point. I waited for over 30 minutes for a sandwich on a Saturday morning. if you really want a sandwich, order ahead WELL in advance and skip the coffee.

Imagine walking all the way to the store trying to get there before they close and you arrive two minutes before closing time and they won’t let you in to purchase your one item. If you’re looking for community oriented, fine goods grocers, there are plenty of other places to choose from that have normal-to-fantastic customer service. Stores only exist because of customers, and especially overpriced fine retail grocers should be extra conscientious of treating the customers that they have well. On to greener pastures!
