I love Damascus! Prices are awesome and in-house food is delicious. The kibbee is good and reminds me of so many family meals. Great selection of middle eastern pickles and cooking ingredients.

The pastries, both savory and sweet, are absolutely delicious. Particularly noticed how the baklava manages to be coated in honey without making the sweetness overpowering. On top of that, the person behind the counter was so kind and provided a recommendation as it was our first time in. Overall an amazing neighborhood spot that still fully welcomes newcomers, and some of the best pastries you’ll find anywhere. Not to mention truly shockingly affordable (we paid $11 for two savory and two sweet treats). Highly recommend to all.

I have been a patron of Damascus since I moved into the neighborhood - 20 years! The last few times I've bought their triangle pita bread, it has been dry and brittle as if it was 1-2 days old. It used to be the best bread in the neighborhood...what happened?!

Damascus is beyond an exceptional place. I had food catered for a birthday party. The food is amazing and the owners were so helpful in helping me figure out how much food to order for my guests. Damascus is a true gem!
