I love this place, it’s incredible, it has all the delicious middle eastern treats i grew up with — spinach pies, pickled turnips, halawa, baklava, etc! all made in house too, absolutely delicious.

super friendly guy running the counter who adds up your items really fast. get your hummus here instead of going across the street to Trader Joe's. you probably won't have to endure a line here too.
I was looking to get some sumac and theirs was much more affordable than elsewhere. got some other pantry items for lazy meals. the tabouleh salad was a highlight. I look forward to being back!

Visiting from San Francisco and I love this shop. it would be a six star if they toasted their pastries instead of microwaving it.

fantastic dolmas (grape leaves). thank you!
The BEST hummus in NYC!!! The people who work here are so nice too.
I can’t believe this place flew under my radar till today. Incredible falafel sando, maybe the best I’ve had in NYC? Cheap too. I just asked for everything. Also very charming shop.
Try for yourself!
It's legit (from my limited experience) in the breadth of its selection and the service that matches
The manakeesh on the counter was frozen and defrosting. The pistachio cookies were fairly fresh but the walnut and date cookies were stale. The falafel was certainly fried the day before. The zaatar was fresh and flavorful. The bread was fresh as was the owner behind the counter.

Top notch spot! Great spinach pie and ma3moul with dates. Tony was also very welcoming and provided great service
Mixed experience. The lamb pita and spinach potato pita were delicious but the chicken samosa was super dry and bland. The bulgur wheat with tomato was tasteless and olive spread had a spice that clashed with the olive flavor; pita in a bag was tasteless and a bit stale
Good wholesome food for reasonable prices! Highly recommend! Falafel sandwich is a must get!

I love Damascus! Prices are awesome and in-house food is delicious. The kibbee is good and reminds me of so many family meals. Great selection of middle eastern pickles and cooking ingredients.
