Unfortunately during our visit today, Dar 525 only seemed interested in fulfilling online orders for drivers, vs. servicing the live customers in their restaurant. My family of four placed our orders, and over an hour later when we inquired about the status of our food, were told that the order was never submitted. At no point in that hour did our server come back to our table to check on us, or apparently even recall that we were seated there. I may go alone and try the food at some point, but what an incredibly disappointing experience.

My partner and I love Dar525. The atmosphere is unique, eclectic and at the same time comfortable. In our experience, it is never that busy but you have to know that we have only been there a couple of times.
In any case, due to its atmosphere and space, it is a good place for any group or date. It can be a friendly place for a group of friends, and it can also be a sexy restaurant for a first date.
We really like the food, especially the main dishes, which come with plenty of food and pita bread. However, for me the hummus lacks a little flavor.
When you enter or leave the place, you see through the door, “Spread hummus, not hate.” Amen.

I was at grand street with my family a few days ago and had such an amazing experience. Sherif was our waiter and immediately greeted us at the front with a big smile. We were not the easiest guests with all of our questions and how indecisive we are lol. He was so patient and made us feel very welcomed. Was trying Dar for the first time and now i’m positive I will be returning!!
