If you are in the area, you MUST eat here. The food is excellent! Kifta (chicken) wrap and steak sandwich are absolutely delicious. Yummy smoothies too!

Good food and atmosphere, inside and outside seating, but even better people. Shout out to my guy Shafiq!

I genuinely want to love Darna Falafel, because the food is consistently excellent. That’s what makes this experience so disappointing.
While the owner—whom I’ve met several times—has always been pleasant, the same cannot be said for the opening and kitchen staff. On multiple visits, the customer service has been openly rude and dismissive, with no effort toward basic politeness or acknowledgment.
The restaurant is also frequently not open at its posted hours. Each time I’ve arrived, I’m met with the same response—an abrupt “we’re closed”—followed by complete disregard, even as other customers arrive and are treated the same way. There’s no explanation, no courtesy, and no attempt at communication.
I regularly come from the city specifically to eat here, which makes this especially frustrating. Great food can only carry an establishment so far; consistency, professionalism, and respect for customers matter just as much. Unfortunately, the service has made it increasingly difficult to justify returning, despite how good the food is.

Just tried this spot for the first time and I will absolutely be going back! I had the baladi salad and it was so fresh with the perfect blend of ingredients. The staff was super sweet too! The guy there let me try their mint tea and OMG, that was delicious. If you're looking for amazing food that's reasonably priced and served fresh, this is it! 🙌

Small space with excellent food. The catfish sandwich was really good and came with a small Mediterranean salad. The mint tea was also amazingly good. Service was quick and friendly with the only drawback being the small size of the restaurant if you want to eat in.

Try the Darna falafel, chicken kifta & shoot for the stars with their home made ice tea
Darna Falafel may be small in size, but it packs a punch where it matters most, flavor. Tucked away from the usual bustle, this unassuming spot is a hidden gem for falafel lovers. Their falafel wraps and sandwiches are hands down some of the best in town.
The star of the show, of course, is the falafel itself, perfectly crispy on the outside and soft, herb packed goodness on the inside. Every bite bursts with freshness, and it's clear that quality ingredients are a priority here. The wraps are generously filled with a mix of crunchy vegetables, tangy pickles, creamy tahini, and of course, those perfectly cooked falafels. The balance of textures and flavors is spot on, making each wrap not just a meal, but an experience.
Even though Darna Falafel is a small establishment, the service is warm and welcoming, giving it a personal and authentic feel.

🏆 Top 5 best food spots in Brooklyn Heights!!!
I got the Kifta Wrap with a side a falafel. This is without a doubt one of the best meals I have had in a while. Seasoned perfectly, great portion size, great service, neat ambiance. This is an overall ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ lunch experience.
Note: there are a few chairs inside and outside, the tables are very small. I wouldn’t recommend carrying in any large items. It may make the spaces fee too cramped.

Fire food, unbelievable prices, wonderful staff and atmosphere
Tasty food that comes in big portions and has reasonable prices, beautiful vibe (though only a handful of tables), and kind employees - 10/10 recommend
