Check out my IG @lawyer.traveler.dreamer for more footage of our experience. David’s Brisket House in Bed-Stuy, Brooklyn, is a real piece of NYC food history. The shop has been around for more than 50 years and still serves some of the best sandwiches in the city. We ordered the famous “3 The Hard Way” to try all three classics: pastrami, brisket, and corned beef. Each one was stacked high on rye, and the flavors were incredible. The brisket had that perfect smoky edge, and the pastrami was full of spice and tenderness. You can feel the legacy in every bite. It’s casual, local, and full of character. If you want an authentic deli experience in Brooklyn, this is the spot to visit.
Very good

– David’s Brisket House? More Like David’s Disappointment Deli.
Let me save you the trouble: if you’re craving brisket, go literally anywhere else. Or chew on your shoe — it’ll be more flavorful and probably more tender.
I walked into David’s Brisket House with high hopes and left with trust issues. The name alone suggests meat mastery. Instead, I got served a sad, gray slab of beef that looked like it lost the will to live sometime last week.
The sandwich was a total catastrophe. Dry, flavorless brisket buried between two slices of bread that tasted like they were left out during the Carter administration. No seasoning, no soul — just regret.
Service was… there. Technically. But it felt more like we were intruding on someone’s break than dining at a restaurant. Eye rolls included, free of charge.
Atmosphere? Think DMV meets middle school cafeteria. Lighting: harsh. Tables: sticky. Music: nonexistent, unless you count the humming of a nearby fridge that sounded like it was about to explode.
In conclusion: if you’re looking for a culinary thrill, this ain’t it. If you’re looking for a lesson in disappointment? David’s Brisket House delivers.
Worse brisket sandwich I’ve ever had, so dry and not good at all.
Still the best!!! I love their pastrami so much that I ordered 13 pounds of it to be shipped to my home on July 17, 2025. The rest of this review is from a few years ago. Excellent pastrami sandwiches. The best not only in Brooklyn but in New York and the entire United States as far as I'm concerned. David's Brisket House is even better than Katz's Deli. Pablo and the lady upfront are always nice and treat me right when I’m back home visiting. Sadly I can’t walk or drive to this place anymore so I have to order online and have it shipped or get it when I’m in town. May this place be around forever!!!

My family and I had brisket and pastrami. WOW. #1 for both right now. It's reminiscent of old school Katz's. Prices aren't bad, and you get both quality and quantity. They've won over a new fan.

It was a fast in and out experience, and I got the corned beef hoagie. It was surprisingly not bad.
I really enjoyed it. Unfortunately, they ran out of the pastrami and brisket.
Would I come back? Definitely, I would and STRONGLY recommend

Brisket isn’t very good at all

They still make melt in your mouth brisket and pastrami. But for the $28 price, they should give you much more meat for only one sandwich.

The brisket sandwich is spectacular. Wanted to buy an extra slice of rye since it gets so soggy as a leftover. But they wouldn't let me. Strange given i paid about $25 for my sandwich.
