I love coming here and treating myself to a sandwich and coffee to stay. I went over the weekend and it was so peaceful and cozy. The staff is sweet and friendly, always have nice music playing. Very good gf cookies too :)

Typical hipster establishment, but without the somewhat decent service that makes places like this even tolerable. The person taking my to-go order added an otherwise unlisted ingredient to my sandwich, and did not include my drink with my order.

Daytime, fantastic name- first of all. It was quite that, Daytime. I went during that time of day when those like to eat savory breakfast foods and enjoy hot hot coffee. Where to begin? Chapter 1, for example(as the prologue has since been written), I walked into the shop. I enjoyed the sights to see inside and it was good smelling. While I waited to order (a very short time might I add), I noticed the people in there. Everyone was happy, smiling, joyous even. It made me yearn for a life where I too could walk to this shop Daytime, and enjoy a happiness as such (the divorce has been hard). Regardless, I, Digress. I spoke my order. Questions were asked (respectfully) and answers were given (respectfully). I waited a short time and recieved my delectable wonders. I sat on the patio outside. At a table, might I add. I began to eat. and suddenly, akin to Ego in the movie ratatouille (no animated cooking animals here though as far as i know) I understood - Joy. The food was good. I understood the daylight people and their joyous happy smiling folks who I yearned to understand as though my life had meaning(I now know it does). Everything simply makes sense here. I hope to return on my next visit back to this area (I am not from around here, rather a small farm town where I am writing my next screenplay - city living is far to expensive). I hope you, dear reader, heed my advice and instead of turning to the darkness, turn to the Daylight.

Daytime is a warm and welcoming space. It makes me feel safe to know that the employees and most customers know that being pro-Palestine is not the same as being antisemetic! I saw some misleading comments about a flyer “celebrating” October 7, 2023, so see the flyer from the window attached — it clearly is about a march for resistance against an entire year of genocide of the Palestinian people. Hope this helps! 🍉 🍉 🍉
