Absolutely stunning venue. I had the honor of planning my aunt's wedding and it was truly everything that she wanted. Anastasia is the SWEETEST! It was amazing working with her to make everything come together. The venue is very rustic and gives a very comforting/familiar feel. Usually you have look for so many different vendors when booking a venue, but Deity offers food, space, drinks, optional suite, and DJ included for an affordable price. If I could get married again, I'd use them lol. Other than that, I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THEM! ❤️

My wife and I got married on 8/31/25 and Caio and the team made our experience better than we could have possibly imagined. From the very beginning their open and direct communication regarding our wants and expectations for the day reduced so much of the stress that you typically hear weddings involve. The day of ran unbelievably smoothly in large part due to how on top of things not only Caio but every member of the Deity team clearly were. We were consistently treated with respect and checked in with. The private moments that the space allows for were absolutely necessary for us when we felt overwhelmed, and the staff made sure that we had what we needed to feel happy and stress free. I will be recommending Deity to any friends or family that get married in the future. 10/10 - thank you Deity!

Great location, awesome brick exposed walls, nice bar, nice staff.... Horrible event coordinator..
Does not understand the concept of a late fee when starting late. Lacks real wedding planning experience.

We fell in love with Deity the moment we toured it. It’s gorgeous, intimate, classy — old-school New York at its exposed brick and stained-glass finest. It’s essentially a three-for-one venue: the Loft for ceremony and dinner, the Lounge for cocktail hour, and the Cellar for dancing. Our guests raved about how unique the flow of the evening was.

I highly recommend doing a tasting beforehand — chef is incredibly accomplished, and the food was outstanding. The servers were very attentive, and Ben, the DJ, absolutely knocked it out of the park. He read the vibe of the room so well and literally kept people on the dance floor all night.

The convenience for the price point is absolutely unmatched:
✅ sumptuous getting-ready suite
✅ ceremony space
✅ reception space
✅ on-site catering and bar
✅ linens, dinnerware, glasses, furnishings
✅ bar staff and servers

One piece of advice for future couples: hire your own coordinator to act as an advocate and buffer on your wedding day — a kind of stage manager. Deity does provide a day-of coordinator, but we had some frustrating challenges on this front. Looking back, it would have helped to have someone outside the venue team fully dedicated to managing the timeline and wrangling bridal parties, family, and vendors, and executing our vision overall. You’ll work with Deity’s coordinator in the lead-up to create a timeline (make it as detailed as humanly possible — lists upon lists!), but there were still moments when we were pulled out of the celebration to answer questions or remind the coordinator of details already in the plan. Having an additional coordinator would have allowed us to stay more fully present.

That said, our overall experience at Deity was overwhelmingly positive, 10/10, would get married there again. The atmosphere, food, service, and convenience made for an unforgettable wedding. If you’re looking for a charming venue that captures the magic of New York while taking so much of the logistical stress off your shoulders, Deity is a wonderful choice.

Absolutely the top level of customer service. Every experience inside the Deity space is special and unique. The team treats each customer like they're the only person in the room.

If you’re looking for a sign to book the Deity as your wedding venue, let this review be it. My wife and I could not have dreamed of a better NYC venue. It combined the charm and the convenience that we feel living in this city every day. The Deity is a one stop shop and the most well-oiled machine. Our wedding was one of the largest sit-down dinners they've had at the venue and, given the challenge we imposed, everything was executed so seamlessly. We loved how everything was all in one place and so did our guests. Both wedding parties used the bridal suite to get dressed and ready. Additionally, maneuvering through the venue was so fun because every change in level felt like a different chapter of the night, each one better than the next. We loved how we took all of our photos on-site because of how aesthetically beautiful the venue was. There is no need to waste time going to elsewhere. Long story short, if you’re looking for a beautiful venue, in a great area, with staff that communicates, is upfront about costs, and makes you feel like royalty on your wedding day, the Deity is for you!

I would give 5 stars if it weren’t for the negative interaction I had with the owner, Caio. After paying the deposit and signing the contract for our wedding, he refused to honor the menu promised to us by his manager Melissa. He said some very unpleasant things to me over the phone and probably should not be dealing with the public.
With that said, our wedding was beautiful, the food was delicious, the day of coordinator made everything flow flawlessly, our guests enjoyed themselves and many told us it was the most fun wedding they had ever been to.

Our wedding was on November 2024 and Caio and his team at Deity had made it such an easy process! Let’s rewind a bit to when my wife and I were venue shopping. We had initially stumbled upon Deity through their amazing reviews and reached out to Caio to see if we can take a tour of the venue. His response time was faster than any of the other places that I’ve reached out to and he has been so accommodating to my schedule to tour. Upon touring the place, it was such a “Brooklyn vibe” with the exposed brick in the loft as well as the amazing cellar and dance floor. Its unique structure was also a great selling point for us as all of the places were isolated on a specific floor. The highlight was certainly the wedding suite on the top floor! After our tour, we knew that this was the place for our wedding. Initially, we were planning a micro wedding but having physically looked at the venue, we opted for the all-inclusive wedding along with the bridal suite option. Honestly, the prices were too good not to go for it. Caio and his team thankfully had the exact date we wanted for our wedding.

Planning for the wedding was such a breeze thanks to Caio and his team. They would periodically reach out to coordinate the wedding and any questions I had would prompt an immediate response from his team. Caio’s team coordinated everything with my additional vendors and honestly made planning so easy. All I had to do was just tell his team what I wanted for the wedding.

Inching closer to the day of, we had scheduled a food tasting with Chef James so we had a better idea of what to pick for the menu. If you have the budget for it, certainly opt for the tasting. Chef James is a master at what he does. Every single plate of food that was presented was meticulously explained and not to mention delicious! One of the biggest things that guests care about at a wedding is the food and let me tell you, the food was delicious. We had our reservations of whether or not there would be enough food given it was family-style, but all of our guests were well fed and full. After the wedding, our guests wouldn’t stop talking about the food!

On the day of the wedding, we had access to the venue in the morning to bring our outfits to the wedding suite. This area was great as it provided the perfect space for us, along with friends and family to get ready. Hair and makeup were all done in the wedding suite prior to the wedding. Guests upon arrival were directed by staff and for welcome drinks and taken to the loft prior to the ceremony. After the ceremony, we were directed back to the wedding suite for a chance for the two of us to enjoy some snacks and take a breather while guests were enjoying cocktail hour. Halfway throughout cocktail hour, we were guided back to mingle with guests and then went back upstairs for the reception. After enjoying a wonderful meal, it was time to party down at the cellar. DJ BenHa had such a great playlist and guests enjoyed a wonderful night of dancing. Plus, the open bar concept and specialty cocktails curated by the bartending team were such a hit. Even to this day, when I speak to guests, they can’t stop talking about our wedding.

If you want an affordable, all-inclusive, all-planned out wedding, Deity is your bet. Caio and his team will ensure that your wedding will be stress-free and a breeze.

We discovered Deity while searching for a unique, character-filled venue that could comfortably host our 100-person wedding—and we’re so glad we did. Deity is a fantastic option for small to mid-sized weddings, especially if you want something different from the typical catering hall.
One of the biggest perks? All-inclusive pricing—gratuity included. Rates are based on the day of the week and season, but everything is laid out clearly with no surprise fees. The venue includes the ceremony space (which is transformed throughout the evening into the dining area), cocktail bar/lounge, and basement dance floor, as well as their in-house DJ.
You only pay extra if you want to add the on-site penthouse and rooftop (highly recommend—it was totally worth it), or upgrade your food and beverage package (premium liquor or open bar). Overall, the pricing is transparent and stress-free, which made budgeting so much easier.
From the moment we first contacted Deity, the team was incredibly responsive and helpful. We started our planning journey with Anna, who gave us a thorough tour and patiently answered every question we threw her way. Later on, we transitioned to working with the owner, Caio, who seamlessly continued the process.
Deity keeps some planning elements flexible, so you’ll handle your own florals, desserts, photography, and makeup, allowing you to personalize your day however you want.
The venue itself has a rich history—it was once a synagogue, then other businesses, and now an event space. They’ve preserved many of the original architectural features, which give the space a warm, intimate charm you won’t find in a standard banquet hall. Uniquely New York. Just note: it’s an older building, so there’s no elevator.
One of the highlights of planning was the tasting dinner with Chef James. It was not only a delicious evening but also a great way to meet some of the staff who’d be working the event. The menu options were one of the reasons we chose Deity—and the food more than delivered. Cocktail hour and dinner were phenomenal, with flavors that exceeded our expectations.
The day-of coordination team made us feel like absolute rockstars. Their attention to detail and calm professionalism ensured everything ran smoothly. This team is truly invested in making your wedding the best it can be.
If you opt for the penthouse suite, you’ll have access from the morning until after the ceremony—a perfect space for photos, especially if the weather doesn’t cooperate (it rained on our day, so this was a lifesaver). There's plenty of room for getting ready, plus an outdoor hot tub and ice plunge on the rooftop, which adds a fun, relaxing touch.
The ceremony space itself feels cozy and intimate, ideal if that’s the vibe you’re going for. The flow of the night is a little different than traditional venues—dinner is served first, followed by dancing—but it worked perfectly for us. We chose to do our cake cutting and dessert in the basement, which was a fun way to transition into the party.
Our DJ, BenHa Meen, was amazing—he kept the energy up all night and read the room perfectly. People danced until the very end!
Final Thoughts
We had an incredible experience at Deity and wouldn’t change a thing. The venue, the food, the team—everything came together beautifully. Our guests couldn’t stop raving about the space and the food, and we’re still glowing from how perfect it all felt.
If you're looking for a one-of-a-kind venue with charm, character, and a truly supportive team—Deity is it.

We can't say enough wonderful things about our experience so far with Deity in Brooklyn! From the moment we stepped into the venue, we were blown away by how stunning and unique the space is—equal parts romantic, stylish, and full of character. It truly sets the stage for an unforgettable celebration.

The food from Chef James was absolutely delicious—every bite during our couples tasting was thoughtfully prepared and bursting with flavor. We’re still dreaming about it! And the drinks? Matt is a master behind the bar—everything we sampled was elevated, well-balanced, and just perfect.

We were lucky to have Matthew guide us through the tasting. He was so kind, professional, and informative, answering all our questions and making us feel truly cared for. Anastasia was also a breath of fresh air—so warm, full of great suggestions, and constantly reminding us that we are the guests of honor, not the hosts. That perspective alone gave us such peace of mind.

A huge thank you to Caio, who has been an absolute rockstar—responding to every email quickly and thoroughly, helping us feel heard, supported, and confident about even our most specific requests.

We genuinely feel like we're in great hands with the Deity team. We’re so excited and looking forward to what we know will be a spectacular day. Highly recommend Deity to any couple looking for a beautiful, stress-free wedding experience.

In 2016, I used Deity for our wedding. The moment I saw this location when looking for a venue, I knew I wanted to get married here. The tree of life was a talking piece for my friends and family. The staff was amazing and took care of everything for us. What made it even more special they craved time during our cocktail hour to make sure my husband and I ate. We got to mingle, take pictures and take time to take in the fact we were husband and wife sharing our first meal after all the excitement. The food was delicious and didn’t disappoint for our guest. The dance floor was intimate and just special to us. Deity will always hold a special place in our lives and I can imagine how it has made others special day amazing.

My husband and I got married at Deity on 6/5/25. We were impressed by this Brooklyn gem of a venue when we toured it a year ago with owner Caio and our fantastic day-of coordinator, Anastasia. Deity is an all-inclusive venue that allows you to personalize your event, and we are happy that our wedding reflected our personalities.

We spent our wedding day at Deity with the rental of their “getting ready” suite, which was the perfect space for hair and makeup, dressing privacy for bride & groom, first-look reveals, formal family & wedding party photos, and eating/caffeinating to keep up our energy before the main event.

My husband and I received several compliments from our guests about the delicious food, which was impeccably made by Chef James. Deity did a phenomenal job accommodating vegans, celiac/gluten-free guests, and folks with food allergies/sensitivities.

Many thanks to Deity for being the perfect venue for us and for having a top-quality in-house DJ (shout-out to DJ Ben) and equally wonderful preferred vendors, including our photographers, Megan & Kenneth, and our florist, Stonefruit Botanical. Deity delivered on their promise to rock out our wedding!
