We recently got married at Deity in November 2023, and we couldn't be happier with the entire day – it was perfect! From start, when we first visited the venue in December 2022, to finish, our experience was nothing short of exceptional, and we wanted to share our thoughts and gratitude. The venue itself is simply breathtaking. The moment we stepped into Deity, you could tell it holds so much unique charm and elegance. The space comes already beautifully designed, which was helpful as we did not need tons of floral arrangements/extra decorations. We were thrilled to receive countless compliments from our guests about the ambiance, and the different floors really gave the whole night a special type of vibe. The stairs were not a problem for our guests. The food at Deity was outstanding. From the initial food tasting to the reception, every dish was delicious and beautifully presented. We received numerous compliments from our friends and family about the quality and variety of the menu.A special shout out is for the bridal suite – the top floor area that we reserved for the entire day. We cannot understate how great this space was – we spent literally all day there, starting at 10am, for getting ready, photos, etc. It is so perfect and everything you need!We also want to give a special shoutout to the DJ BenHaMeen who absolutely crushed the music throughout the whole evening. The energy and enthusiasm translated onto the dance floor and our guests had an incredible time dancing the night away, and we couldn't have asked for a better experience.Lastly, we want to express our appreciation to Anna, the onsite coordinator at Deity. Anna's professionalism, attention to detail, and excellent communication made the entire wedding planning process so much more manageable. She was always available to answer our questions and provide guidance. Thank you, Anna!Truly – our wedding at Deity was an absolute dream come true. It had everything we were looking for – in NYC, inclusive and with character. We highly recommend Deity to any couple looking for a wedding venue that exceeds expectations in every way.

Deity was the perfect spot for our non-traditional dark, romantic Friday the 13th October queer wedding! So much about the space and the team there really allows you do only the amount of DIY that YOU want to do.The space itself has beautiful character while still leaving plenty of room for your own personal vibe, and even if you brought literally nothing in it would photograph and feel beautiful. We did NOT do that- we had a huge design dream, and Anna and her team worked with us to make it happen and it was so beautiful! (I will say- keep it simpler than we did lol. Loading out that massive install ON the day was the only big bummer!!)In terms of food and bar- I worked in hospitality for a long time, so REALLY appreciated the ability to choose between an open bar or a consumption tab. Those open bar tabs are usually PADDED, and this transparency and choice was great. Our guests were all super impressed with the food- so much better than what you normally get at a catered wedding reception. Do the family style option! And again, they had everything set up to totally handle specialty cocktail menus, or are willing to let you come up with your own.The getting ready suite is an absolute MUST. SO MUCH SPACE, so many photo ops, and a HOT TUB?! Yes please.Anna and Caio are absolute pros and made our whole process really, really fun. I got sad when it was over mostly cause it meant I wasn't gonna see them until I could come up with another excuse to throw a party there!

Terrible service here. I attended a wedding here last night on 1/13/2024. Food came cold and was all self serve. I asked this guy for a fork and he rolled his eyes and told me to go ask someone else. This same guy was working the bar downstairs (young Latin guy), kept giving everyone dirty looks and looked like he did not want to be there. He’d tell us to not order off the cocktail menu because ‘it’ll be faster’, since he’s probably too lazy to mix together multiple ingredients. But when you did order a cocktail he’d roll his eyes and begrudgingly do it.All in all, the service was not good and not what you expect for a wedding. Drinks took a long time to arrive during dinner and our plates were never taken away once we all finished. I’ve been to many weddings and even the worst venues, the staff try their best and you can tell, but not here. This bartender really ruined the vibe completely with his cold demeanor. The other bartender working (older white guy) was much better. Please get the latin guy out of the bar. A good bartender is important and this guy was absolutely terrible. I wish I got his name but I think management can figure out who it is based on the date.

We had a great experience with Deity - planning was easy and the staff was very helpful and communicative. The wedding day was totally stress-free for us because they took care of everything, and our guests all told us they had a blast and felt it was a deeply thoughtful event. We were also very pleased about how great the food was, and really appreciated that the team was accommodating in terms of dietary restrictions for our guests - plus, they made sure we had time to eat on the wedding day! We’d unreservedly recommend Deity to any couple looking for an affordable and low-stress venue that doesn’t feel like it cuts any corners in terms of creating a fun and special event.

We got married in October 2023 at Deity and it was the absolutely perfect Brooklyn venue. From the architecture of the building, which was ideal for hosting our ceremony, cocktails, dinner, and dancing, to the planning process, which was made super easy with the Deity staff, to the eventual price tag — everything was flawless and we’re still getting complements on how fun our wedding was. If you’re looking for that perfect wedding venue, stop — you’ve found it.The flow through the architecture of the Deity space was perfect for a long party. Here’s the chronology breakdown of our wedding and how Deity was great on each step of the way. Guests arrive in the first level, which has beautiful brick walls, stained glass, and a full tree next to the bar (really feels like a historical New York landmark!). Meanwhile, the wedding party can do a full run through of the ceremony upstairs in the ceremony space (we had a string quartet during the ceremony so it was great to have the space and time to walk down the aisle in the correct order to practice, also with the guidance and advice of Anna, our event coordinator!). Guests then came upstairs for the ceremony (aided by the staff, the wedding party could all be safely concealed behind a curtain). After the ceremony, we were aided up to the suite (which I highly recommend you book) to take a moment and also officially sign the certificate. As an extra touch, the chef sent up one of each of our passed plates and glasses of champagne so we could eat and take a breath. Dinner service was excellent. The courses came out with perfect timing, and were even able to work around a couple speeches going long. We started with wine on the tables, and extra drink orders were taken throughout. The food was fabulous — fresh herb chicken and New York strip with mushroom sauce. After our last speech concluded, the DJ came up and welcomed everyone downstairs to the dance floor. Again, Deity staff are experts at coordination and we had everyone setup in the cellar, music timed perfectly, for our entrance and first dance. Desert was already setup downstairs, and it was fun having people be able to flow from the dance floor back upstairs to have a conversation space. Finally, at 12:30am, our perfect wedding wound down.Throughout the whole night, we felt like the guests of honor rather than being worried about the details, and our guests had a blast. The staff, both during the months-long planning process, and during the event itself, were exemplary. Special shout-out to Anna, who was in constant communication with us throughout the process and made us feel so welcome. We met with her several times as the date grew closer, and at the end of each she prepared a typed up itinerary for our wedding day with clear next steps and action items — this made planning a breeze despite our busy work schedules. As all the food is provided by Deity, we had several conversations with the chef as we were picking out our menu (3 months before the wedding we had our tasting, in the Deity wedding space). Food was our biggest concern and honestly we were apprehensive about booking all-inclusive—but you are in such good hands with the Head Chef from the passed plates to the main course. Finally, our DJ (DJ Frei Speech) was PERFECT, also chosen by Deity. He was an expert of blending multiple eras of music to get everyone on the dance floor. Also, shout-out to Emily on the day-of Deity staff who made sure the dress was bustled, both before the cocktail hour and later into the evening when she was prepared with safety pins! The food, DJ, cocktails, wine, dinner rentals and coordination were all provided and included by Deity, making it SO much easier to finish our wedding planning. In addition to the included vendors, Anna’s recommended vendors were superb, including our photographer (Seng with Le Image) and florist (Charlotte with Floral Heights). Thanks to the team, our wedding went off without a hitch, and we were able to savor every moment of our day.In conclusion, Deity is the perfect Brooklyn wedding venue.

We got married in Deity in late October and it was the perfect venue for our celebration! When we first saw the venue, we fell in love with the uniqueness of the venue, the perfect location for access, the history of the building, and the multiple floors. Each floor has a unique vibe, and looks gorgeous! Most importantly, we met Anna and she was fantastic! We decided immediately that we needed to book this spot for our wedding. Anna was IMMENSELY helpful in the planning process and answered all our questions patiently, recommended vendors, and provided great guidance overall. Our wedding was a Hindu ceremony and this was the first time Deity was hosting a Hindu ceremony. Anna was extremely accommodating of the various needs and traditions. The tasting was also professional, and we loved the bartender’s special creations for us (I still think of that drink!). Prices-wise, Deity is so upfront about all the costs and everything is extremely reasonable for their quality of the service. I absolutely love the all-inclusive packages – it makes everything so much easier to navigate in a world of crazy wedding prices! On the day off, we got the suite to get ready in – and I highly highly recommend getting that suite. It’s CLUTCH to have that space to get ready in with the wedding party, and it is ENORMOUS - we had 15 people and they were all super comfortable. It also makes for extremely cute photos! Once the wedding started, Anna and Emily took over everything and treated us like royalty - no one bothered us for a single detail and everything we had thought of was taken care of! I was a bit worried about moving folks up and down the multiple floors, but the Deity team are pros and know how to handle a crowd - even a boisterous Indian one! People still come up to me and share how much they loved the venue, the drinks, and are in awe of the Deity team and their immense professionalism. If you are looking for a unique, beautiful venue to host your wedding, don’t hesitate to book Deity! I promise you won’t regret it!

The event space is beautiful, unique, and really captures the spirit of Brooklyn. Deity's staff is extremely helpful, and took so much of the stress of planning a wedding out of our hands. Our guests had an incredible time and loved the space as well. Everyone at Deity went above and beyond, and our coordinator, Anna, had so many great recommendations throughout the whole process. On the day of the wedding, Anna ran the entire evening smoothly, attentively, and professionally. She is a PRO.Deity the perfect spot for a Brooklyn wedding. Food was excellent, music was wonderfully curated, and the flow and small details were handled impeccably by Deity's team so we were able to enjoy our evening as a couple instead of as hosts. We highly recommend!

Not that all the positive reviews here are from the brides and grooms. The couple is well taken care of during the event, and even get enough food so they don't go hungry, if they even have time to eat. And their friends and family are too polite to tell them the truth afterwards: that they had to wait 30 minutes to get a drink because the place skimps on labor and has only two bartenders for 120 guests. That the h'ors d'oeuvres passed around are the size of a two inch sliver of a sprig of asparagus (many people don't even know this cause they didn't get any. That they serve the dinner ''family style'' to hide the fact that they DO NOT PROVIDE ENOUGH FOOD FOR EVERYONE AT THE TABLE. And when guests ask for seconds, the waiters tell them there isn't any more, or that you have "EXCEEDED YOUR QUOTA." (your $400 per person quota!) The parents of the bride and groom who paid for all of it don't get enough food either, but they don't tell the couple because they don't want to ruin the big day. But LET THE BUYER BEWARE. I don't know what's going on at this place -- do the staff get to take home leftovers, so they're incentivized to keep food back? Or is the place just scrimping to increase their profits, when you're paying out the nose? -- who knows, and bottom line, who cares, because there is no way to assure that this will not happen at your event and no way to make it right afterwards.

Deity was the most perfect venue to host our special day! From the very beginning of planning, they made it so easy for us. They took care of much of the decor, music, lighting, seating, catering and more! Anna was a rockstar, answering all our questions, emails and video chats before the big day. Even making sure everything ran smoothly the day-of. Emily was also so incredibly helpful on our big day and even went out of her way to help pin up my dress for me after the ceremony. The venue itself has so many picturesque features, we didn’t even need to leave the gorgeous bridal suite to capture most of our amazing photos. Finally, from our hand picked appetizers to the delicious dinner service, all of the food was incredible! Our favorite part was being privately served the appetizers and signature drinks in the suite after our ceremony. The staff at Deity made us feel like celebrities on our most special day, I couldn’t have imagined it being any more perfect!

We had our wedding at Deity on September, it was a small reception with cocktails hour and a lunch, the place was perfect for what we wanted and the staff was amazing. Starting with Anna, she was so helpful and kind with us, our kid and all our guests, very patient and always answered our questions and doubts. Ours guest are still talking about it and how much of a good time they had there. The food was delicious and the place was decorated very delicately and nice. We used the suite to get ready and was very convenient not having to travel from place to place, was also beautiful to have photos done there as well as the rooftop. I would definitely recommend this place for any party/event in a bit.

My wife and I got married at Deity earlier this year, and we are so lucky to have found this venue! The entire experience was an A+ from start to finish. What makes Deity so effective is in how it utilizes its space. Each floor serves a distinct purpose that flowed remarkably well for the reception - dance floor in the basement, cocktail area on the 1st floor, reception and dinner on the 2nd floor, and bridal suite / rooftop on the top floors. And we completely loved the rustic vibes coming from the exposed brick, which was prominently featured throughout the building. And last but not least, the entire staff was incredibly attentive and amiable, which encouraged us to ask questions and make requests.A special shoutout goes to Anna - she was instrumental to making our day a complete success. Even when we needed to make last minute changes to the seating chart, she was kind and reassuring. There was no challenge too daunting for her; her poise and confidence put us at ease, both during the wedding planning and on the wedding day itself.Thank you Deity for making our wedding day such a memorable day. You turned our vision into a reality and we couldn’t have pictured our wedding any differently!

My wife and I had our wedding at Deity on 11/11/23 and it was one of the best decisions we ever made. We were looking for a unique, warm space to have an intimate micro wedding. We live in Boston so a beautiful venue, affordability, ease, and convenience were high priority for us. Deity brought all that and more. The space is absolutely stunning, we barely had to add any extra decor. The setup was great as different parts of the wedding were on different floors so it never felt like we were in the same space all day. And the BRIDAL SUITE?! Absolutely phenomenal and made getting ready for the day super convenient. We even did our first look photos there because we were in love with the look of it and the sunlight coming through. After our ceremony we did some couple shots on the roof that were so greatzThe micro wedding package we chose was perfect for us. Ceremony, reception, food & drinks, basic decor like candles, and the DJ were included. The food was delicious and our guests LOVED the family style setup as everyone was able to try everything and serve themselves just the amount they wanted. Because we were so small we kept our reception on the main floor as opposed to adding the cellar. The main floor was great as it was spacious and everyone had room dance, sit, and chat with ease.As for the staff, they were fantastic. Everything went smoothly and they were so keen on making sure my wife and I were taken care of the whole night. One of my big concerns was for my Grandma who sometimes has trouble walking and the shuffling between two floors was concerning. But Deity was on it, they kept the stair lift ready for her at all times and made sure she was given priority time and space to move around before the other guests. At the end of the reception, the staff packed up all our belongings and had it ready for us to take out the space so we could enjoy the entire reception with our guests.Last but honestly most important, Anna. Anna was amazing to us. From the first FaceTime meeting she was kind, straight forward, detailed, and excited for us. I’ve never planned or seen a wedding be planned before, so I was struggling with what to do. Anna thought of everything. She assisted with timelines, payment reminders, streamlining decor, making suggestions for things I didn’t think about, and answered any question I had. She even assisted with setting up our after party at Someday Bar next door, which worked out perfectly. Anna was so easy to work with and accommodated me during the limited in person visits I could make. I can’t imagine not having her to assist us with our wedding. She truly made the Deity experience top notch.Deity provided us with an absolutely beautiful wedding. We did not have the overwhelming stress, worries, or mishaps that we have heard usually occur with planning a wedding. Deity made it seamless so we could just enjoy the process and our day. We recommend to the highest degree. THANK YOU, DEITY! ❤️

We are absolutely thrilled to share about our experience at Deity! We were so happy with our choice to have our wedding at Deity and from the very first moment we stepped foot in the space, we knew it was the right place for us. Deity is unlike any venue I have ever been at because of the four floors and nearly all inclusive and transparent pricing. I had made a massive spreadsheet trying to cost everything out at other venues during the research stage and was shocked by how challenging it was to even figure out how much things cost at other places. With Deity, the pricing structure is clear and transparent so you don't have surprises down the line. One thing we LOVED about the venue was the four different floors (we rented the bridal suite- no regrets!!). Every floor had its own character, offering diverse settings that catered perfectly to different aspects of our celebration. Whether it was the lovely ceremony and dinner space, the rooftop terrace for photos, the intimate lounge for cocktails, or the lively basement dance floor (complete with disco ball)—each space contributed to making our day truly magical.Let's talk about the food—they knocked it out of the park! We have had too many experiences at weddings with cold, flavorless chicken breasts so we really wanted to find a venue that takes food as seriously as we do. The fact that Deity has food as a part of the package is not only helpful logistically (not managing a million vendors) but it was truly exquisite. The appetizers were amazing- so many great options all excellently executed and the dinner was incredible. Everyone commented that this was the best wedding food they had ever had. The salmon was cooked perfectly- I don't even know how you do that for a large event, and the mac and cheese was a crowd favorite. Additionally, the bar was excellent- we loved our signature cocktails! Now, let's highlight the stars of the show—the incredibly attentive staff. Anna, in particular, was an absolute gem! Her professionalism, warmth, and dedication made a world of difference. From the planning stages to the execution on the big day, Anna went above and beyond to ensure everything was flawless. Her attention to detail and willingness to accommodate our requests made us feel truly special. Our wedding day was more than we could have ever imagined, and a significant part of that is owed to the venue and its exceptional team. They turned our dreams into reality, creating an unforgettable experience not just for us but for all our guests. We can't recommend this venue highly enough. Deity—with Anna and the whole team—is a no-brainer!

It was as seamless as could be planning this wedding for my cousin and her new husband Kayleigh and Isaac! Would definitely use this venue again as my all stop shop for supreme service! Thanks again!
