I’m a bit bummed. I was excited to try this place because I love pho and heard so much about this place. The food was really boring and the cocktails didn’t have enough alcohol. Honestly, I was majorly disappointed in the pho. The broth didn’t have any flavor, the rice noodle they used were a bit fatter so it soaked up the soup really fast and I only had like 5 pieces of meat. It wasn’t worth the $20+ I paid for it. We had the clams special and spring rolls. All forgettable...
We don’t usually hang out in Greenpoint because of the lack of good transportation but tonight we decided to go there. Picked the restaurant because we felt like eating Vietnamese. The atmosphere was nice but at times all the smoke from the open kitchen came in the dining room. Service was very good but the food wasn’t anything special. The biggest disappointment was the semifreddo dessert - it was a weird combo of ingredients and literally that took 20 min to become edible.
