Pizza was ok, wasn't something that would make me go back. Service was good.

Just had a slice of their pizza at the one bite festival. Was one of my favorite slices !

I'm not a native to NY so I'm sure my opinion is going to differ from the vast majority of the local 5-star reviews. I hit up Di Fara in a symbolic foodie style pilgrimage to find the pizza that best symbolizes the original Brooklyn slice. Di Fara has been around forever and its mystique is pretty well known in the pizza world... I found it to be a little less magical than I hoped for. I got a regular pie and when I opened the box what I found was a slightly disappointing and definitely greasy pizza that without its storied history wouldn't hit the three stars I'm giving it. Mr. DeMarco has been making these pizzas for over 50 years in the same location with countless... seriously countless awards and recognition over the decades, which makes it worth checking out :)

Got a round and a square pizza. The round one was amazing. The square one was hard to bite into and not cut right. Bit disappointing since we drove an hour from queens to try this place and my body from Canada.

AVOID! Unprofessional and did nothing to help find a solution. I Ordered pickup order on TooGoodToGo. I arrived during the pick up window And was told that they were closed and that it was a separate restaurant that handled the orders for TooGoodToGo even though they share the same name and address. So I wasn’t able to get my order. They did nothing to remedy the issue. They had zero interest in helping.

I’ve been to Di fara pizza over the years, but unfortunately my last experience on 10/8/21
Wasn’t what it use to be.
Dominic use to be the only one making the pizza, or even one of his sons.
This time the cheese was different and it was made by a non family member employee.
The mozzarella tasted lower quality and didn’t have the famously known Buffalo mozzarella that were use to.
Im going to try a different spot from now on. It isn’t worth the 5 dollars a slice.

Been going to this place for a really long time. Dominic payed special attention to every pizza. He would take my order, write it on the box, bring that box to his eyes when he was ready to make it and the pull the actual pizza out of the oven with his bare hands. When it was good it was the most amazing pizza ever. And if you told him you liked it he would light up a huge smile, which I really miss.
Family has taken over. Is it sacrilegious to say that the pizza is more consistent? I love their square slice with olives and mushrooms. Always hits the spot. I’ve also had pepperoni with the square and it’s also so good. Go eat at DiFara’s

I was expecting it to be a busy place with lot of crowd, but was surprised to find no one over there, little sad that how it lost its charm in the last few years. Pizza was decent, I honestly felt Lucali to be better than this, but yeah surely it’s among the top pizzas of mine in NYC. Crust is little too hard.
